[Request] Gigabyte Aero 15 OLED BIOS unlocked

So it seems like 64Mb and so it is?
0x367DD One Of Option: 64M, Value (8 bit): 0x2 {09 07 B5 06 00 00 FF}
DVMT Pre-Allocated max 64M

Or no ?

@BDMaster

Hey there,

Iā€™m looking to unlock BIOS on my Aero 15 OLED KC (10870 + 3060).

Reasons are undervolting CPU for better temps and using XMP to run memory on 3200MHz.

I already ran FPT backup, here are the results:

Since i cannot post the sendspace links due to new member limitations, here is the interesting part of the sendspace URL: /file/d20ewl

Thank you so much for your work and dedication here, if you are accepting donations, give us a link to show some gratitude!

Best Regards

You have to unlock eeprom before so follow the tutorial in these pages and use RU shell to unlock these variables setting them to 0x00 :

FPRR VarOffset - 0x6DD
BIOS Lock VarOffset - 0x17

Youā€™ll find under PchSetup [4570B7F1-ADE8-4943-8DC3-406472842384] GUID

Here there are the RU links and tutorials and the FPT14 to use :

To make a bios backup, just run by double click Dump.bat program into FPT14 folder, then to reflash back the biosreg.bin , use Write.bat program.
If you will get any error and completed , then you can flash the biosremod.bin file , present into the same folder using the Writemod.bat, run at
same way ā€¦

After Flashing the mod , please make a Bios Menu Tabs Photo and upload here to check that all is ok

Hey there, thank you so much, everything worked like a charm!

Just a question, did you already enable X.M.P.2 in your modded bios? Because somehow, default RAM speed and timings are already at 3200Mhz 22-22-22-52?

Anyways, thank you for saving me the trouble if you did it!

If anybody is interested, i got -.80 core and -.60 cache stable undervolt on 10870H. -.90 core or -.70 cache is freezing randomly after a few hours of usage. But in the end its silicone lottery anyways, just be careful with Comet Lake undervolting, i heard from people who had to do manual reflash with just the same undervolt i am running just fineā€¦

Hi all,
Does anyone have the modified bios for AERO 15-WA (P75WA) version: FB09?

cpu: i7-9750H
gpu: 2060

Thanks to all

@zudo
Ok friend, use this tool , run it as Admin and upload the result file here :

https://www.mediafire.com/file/4s2lp3ig8ā€¦ools20h.7z/file

You have to unlock the Eeprom write before all, then you will upload the biosreg.bin file (bios backup) and i will unlock for you !
So follow the tutorials into above pages and get the bios unlocked , post it here !!!

Thanks, Iā€™ll try this afternoon.

I work only with linux. Sorry my few experience with windows.

Iā€™ve readed tutos:

secure boot - disable (ok, itā€™s ready)

1.- Iā€™ll use your app to backup bios and upload here.
2.- Unlock bios from grub console:
setup_var 0xB48 0x0
#boot windows
insmod part_gpt
insmod fat
search --no-floppy --fs-uuid --set=root $UID
chainloader /efi/Microsoft/Boot/bootmgfw.efi
3.- Flash new bios with fpt (you give me)

Is it ok?

@zudo

Hi friend, the variables are :

BIOS Lock VarOffset - 0xB4D
FPRR VarOffset - 0x1207

Set to 0x00

The best way is to use RU shell :

[Request] Gigabyte Aero 15 OLED BIOS unlocked (34)

And try to find the PchSetup [4570B7F1-ADE8-4943-8DC3-406472842384] GUID

Manufacturer - GIGABYTE
Model - AERO 15-W9
BIOS release - FB09 03/19/2020

to say it better i need your bios backup (result file) ā€¦

P.S. may be itā€™s possible to do your goal unlocking a variable into NVRAM too, but i need your bios backup to reply.

I already have the bios unlocked thanks to you :). However, I donā€™t know how to wake up the Laptop via USB. I always has to open the lid but I use the laptop with an external monitor and keyboard. So, I donā€™t want always have to open the lid. Could you help me you this please?

@juanmiguel431

Check the Wake on USB setting in BIOS ā€¦

Settings panel enable USB S4/S5 Power and Wake on USB from S5

If you donā€™t find this option then you cannot use that ā€¦

@BDMaster

Iā€™m looking to unlock the BIOS on my Aero 15 OLED KD (11800h and 3060): gigabyte /Laptop/AERO-15-OLEDā€“Intel-11th-Gen/support

Iā€™ve read the tutorials, backed up my bios with FPT before getting started. I think the next step is to edit the necessary registers with RU.efi. I can boot to RU.efi but need to know what registers to modify before sending the BIOS to you to unlock.

Big thanks for any help!

Hi friend, if you get a backup and need to know which registers to edit (NVRAM variables) i need to check your bios backup to find them :wink:
So use this tool (if you will be aware itā€™s a FALSE POSITIVE) , run it as Admin and upload the result file here :

https://www.mediafire.com/file/4s2lp3ig8ā€¦ools20h.7z/file

Let me know

@BDMaster

Thanks for the help :slight_smile:

I wasnā€™t sure if you needed the bios downloadable from Gigabyte or the one dumped from my system to identify the registers. I appreciate you clarifying for me!

I ran the tool and have the send space results: sendspace /file/fpfygc

Thanks again so much for your help with this!

Ok friend here there are your Varibles :

Error 167: Protected Range Registers are currently set by BIOS, preventing flash access.
Please contact the target system BIOS vendor for an option to disable
Protected Range Registers.

FPT Operation Failed.

BIOS version - P75VD0240
Date - 04/14/2021
BIOS platform - AMI Aptio 5

PchSetup [4570B7F1-ADE8-4943-8DC3-406472842384]

BIOS Lock VarOffset - 0x1C
FPRR VarOffset - 0x683

This is your bios mod , you know how to flash :

https://www.mediafire.com/file/fdcmmfxjrā€¦02_Mod.rar/file

If all it will be ok , then post a Bios Menu Photo to check the unlocked Menu ā€¦

Let me know

@BDMaster

EDIT: Nevermind, I searched back in this thread and saw the FPRR already being 0 has been the case with others as well. Iā€™ll be modifying and flashing now.

Big thanks! 0x1C was 01 but 0x683 appears to be 00 already. I wanted to double-check what was expected. If so, Iā€™ll only need to modify 0x1C to 00 in order to flash to the BIOS you gave me?

yes right !

Success!

Thanks so much @BDMaster :slight_smile:
