I will definitely check this. Would this be an issue? I suppose other drivers might interfere, am I wrong?
In the meanwhile, I have also double checked the SATA specification of the MB.

On-Board SATA
• Intel Z97 Express Chipset
- 1 x mSATA 6Gb/s port*
- 6 x SATA 6Gb/s ports (SATA1~6)
- Supports RAID 0, RAID1, RAID 5 and RAID 10
- Supports Intel Smart Response Technology, Intel® Rapid Start
- Technology and Intel Smart Connect Technology*
• ASMedia ASM1061 Chipset
- 2x SATA 6Gb/s ports (SATA7~8)
I fear I might have to integrate the ASMedia driver. I honestly cannot understand wether the HD are connected to the ASM or to the Intel (does such a doubt make sense, btw?)
UPDATE:
no WINNT.SIF in the i386 directory
UPDATE2:
I confirm that HDs are connected to the SATA managed by the Intel Z97
