[Request] Mod Asus Z170M-Plus BIOS

Hey guys, I’ve been trying to maximize performance in an old i5-6400/Z170M-PLUS PC. The version “8001” BIOS offered in the “Skylake non-K BIOS archive” has been very handy, I’ve tinkered with it for a while without any issues, tysm! (though I’ve had to flash it with a programmer because of IME, lol)

Problem is, this BIOS doesn’t have ReBAR and the earliest version supporting it is already on 11.6, which prevents >102.5 BCLK with non-K.
I’m also anticipating an upgrade to 8/9th gen or an adapted 10th gen mobile CPU.

Can someone please mod this for me? Thank you and much love!

so you want a rebar mod of 8001? or a coffee lake mod based on newest bios?

Hi, that’s right. I was wondering if it was possible to have both Rebar and CFL at once on top of the 8001 bios but it seems like it may be difficult given the IME requirements?

I have already tried applying Nvstrapsrebar but the board won’t boot after saving in the modded bios and I have to reset every time. I followed the guide step by step so I’m not sure if I did anything wrong.

there is no reason to make 8001 support cfl. it wont let you non-k bclk oc.

Yh I know, I’m just anticipating an upgrade to a cfl cpu in the future. I’m fine with a bios that only has rebar and bclk for now tho.
