See the difference in structure? That’s not where you ‘worked’, it’s the next volume. In addition you do have one less message in the parser… Compare the bios in HxD, check address range for changes- this bios has every dxe compressed for itself, so you should see changes just in the address range of setup…
So the modification might be OK (that’s not my cup of tea), but the tool you used may have corrupted the bios (but maybe it might work anyway…) You used UEFItool 028, but that wasn’t invented yet when Lost wrote these posts…
Use UEFITool025 (https://github.com/LongSoft/UEFITool/releases/tag/0.25.0)
Using UEFITool025 did prevent the change in error messages and difference in structure.
Are the other error messages safe to ignore in UEFITool?
The other messages are the same your dumped bios has and that did work…
There’s no warranty in these things, I assume you took good care of your backup, so in case of things not working it’s just flashing it back…
I’m still here with mine waiting to be modded, as you can see by all the post I have the programmer and everything but haven’t hear back from Lost_N_Bios since 2020…if someone can provide some help to continue the process it will be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance
@Downloader
Continuation will be the next: you send a full BIOS dump no matter how it was obtained from your device and I modify it.
Thank you, I have done several backup, one via FPT and a full read with the CH341A programmer, everything went well as far as I know.
I’m attaching both so you can see and tell me what you think.
Bios Backups CF-19.zip (8.0 MB)
Thanks in advance!
Depends on which command you used when backing up via FPT.
BIOS MOD
The modification was aimed at unlocking:
“Debug” - “CSM Parameters” - “Boot Mode”
and
“Debug” - “SATA Configuration” - “SATA Controller Speed”
THANK YOU!!! Loaded it and all is there!!!
Did you manage to enable UEFI and boot?
Did a test with an installation on legacy bios and no problem, issue only comes when I try to use UEFI. Please advise
Thanks
I’m not sure why so.
Try with “Video OpROM policy” set to Legacy and everything else to UEFI.
Did it, now it does not boot at all, stays on the boot logo forever and if I try to enter setup same thing…hangs forever, see attached photos
I have no idea how this works. Im sorry.
Usually I am providing just BIOS unlocking, and what you’ve encountered now is beyond my understanding.
You have been great and I appreciate it a lot, I just reflashed the Bios and I’m trying different configurations to see what I get
The discussion here on unlocking SATA3 on the Panasonic Toughbook CF-19 MK6 is fascinating! It’s amazing to see the depth of knowledge and expertise shared in this thread. The collaborative effort to explore possibilities and find solutions is commendable. Keep up the great work, and I’m looking forward to seeing further progress!
