Yeah right thank for the picture mate !
Ok for me i saw nobody on the net reaching past 3300 without OV uncore at leat +120 mV that a fact 00.1 keeps me smiling plus look at your picture of battlefield +220 on gpu means real turbo speed of 2135-2150 as you can see yours maxed out 90w pull 1700 MHz so lower at 170/400 gddr6 should try 800 then 1000 on the Vram you will gain better FPS overcooking the vram than the gpu because of TDP and mobile rtx can go Past 1200 MHz try it but lower gpu try 180/650 to be confident
Try this 150/400 you will see same clock under bf1 because you reached TDP rtx is maxed out 90w with 0.795V and your offset applied by nvidia algorithms is only +140/150 MHz with turbo no way + 220 … you need to tweak voltage and gpu curves in afterburner

Run gpu z while gaming look monitoring if it says PerfCap reason is VRel and VOp. Which means max voltage is limited by the controller itself. And the controller well is controlled by bios
On more thing your chassis is smaller I think ph317 can dissipate more heat

Can you think we should upgrade to 1.10 PMC firware upgrade hyppo ?

Hi Guys,
I’ve mostly worked on Desktop builds so most of the BIOS I work on usually has all the options unlocked. I’ve gone through this thread and feel like I can gain from unlocking my BIOS. I recently bought a Predator Helios 300 17" [PH317-53] and I’d like to know how I can unlock through software method, if it is possible. I’ve already updated to the latest version of BIOS 1.10, which I hope wouldn’t create a roadblock.
@Lost_N_BIOS I’ve seen your posts and replies to them and feel like you can help me with this. Can you tell me the steps to follow to get things done. I don’t want to go the Hardware route yet, I’d like to try the less intrusive options first. I’ve got enough experience programming, running OCs on multiple devices and tweaking other settings from BIOS, but please consider me a noob for this exercise and can you walk me through all the steps to get BIOS unlocked. Also, it would be great if you can tell me what options are there to unlock, so if I don’t need any of them, I can skip unlocking those parts if it is allowed by the BIOS.
I happen to have a 315-52, and i was wondering if anyone has a fully unlocked dump of a good bios. i want it to actually UNDER volt the cpu and underclock it. I dont use the laptop for playing, just some network stuff and i would like the battery life to be better.
I have a minipro programer. tl826 i think. i can flash the bios directly no problem, but i dont want to waste time making a good dump and i would not know how to modify it to begin with.
Latest version anyone has would be great.
Thank you in advance!
@coolgeevee @Restrected - I “Think” we can do via FPT, I tried to look back and confirm but this thread is too long. * Found it!
coolgeevee - Please link me to your stock BIOS download page
Restrected - if you want to dump and mod yourself with programmer, I posted the edit edit to make for menu unlock here in post #78
To do without programmer, both of you, please download this package and follow along so we can disable FPRR (error 167) and allow FPT BIOS region reflash of mod BIOS

Run the command shown below from the folder that contains the exe, using Admin CMD Prompt. Then upload vars.txt to me
Select that folder which exe is directly inside, hold shift and press right click, choose open command window here (Not power shell).
If you are on Win10 install this registry edit that adds “Open command window here as Administrator” to the right click menu
Double-click to install, reboot after install may be required (Do reboot just to be sure)

H2OUVE.exe -gv vars.txt
Ill work on this in an hour or so. just woke up so coffee first.
and thank you Lost_N_BIOS!!!
----------------------
I ran that and it gives me this
" Now parsing Variable Information.
LoadDeviceDriver fail, GetLastError = 0x430
Failed to get bios data!
Fail to get Variable Information"
I guess that the included dll is the wrong one? i ran as admin, im sure of that.
*Nevermind. It was my antivirus deleting the sys file. Fixed it now and i have the vars.
See attached.
vars.txt (218 KB)
@Restrected - You’re welcome! Please put that in a zip, thanks. Due to how our forum software handles text attachments I can’t use it like that
Probably worse, I usually can’t download from Microsoft, attach here as zip
* edit - never mind, got it!
I got it from MS. What BIOS version are you using? Sorry, I should have had you send FPT BIOS region dump also, so I’m sure the variable is same as others here
What is the version of fpt i need? also, if handy, share?
Check BIOS main page and see if ME FW version is shown, if not then download HWINFO64
Then on the large window on left side, expand motherboard and find ME area, inside that get the ME Firmware version.
Once you have that, go to this thread and in the section "C.2" download the matching ME System Tools Package
(ie if ME FW version = 10.x get V10 package, if 9.0-9.1 get V9.1 package, if 9.5 or above get V9.5 package etc)
Intel Management Engine: Drivers, Firmware & System Tools
Once downloaded, inside you will find Flash Programming Tool folder, and inside that a Windows or Win/Win32 folder (NOT x64).
Select that Win folder, hold shift and press right click, choose open command window here (Not power shell).
At the command prompt type the following command and send me the created file to modify >> FPTw.exe -bios -d biosreg.bin
Right after you do that, try to write back the BIOS Region dump and see if you get any error >> FPTw.exe -bios -f biosreg.bin
If you do get error, show me image of the command entered and the error given
^^ This is important step, don't forget ^^ << We already know here ^^ you get error 167, so you can skip for now
If you are stuck on Win10 and cannot easily get command prompt, and method I mentioned above does not work for you, here is some links that should help
Or, copy all contents from the Flash Programming Tool \ DOS folder to the root of a USB Bootable disk and do the dump from DOS (FPT.exe -bios -d biosreg.bin)

Or here is simply registry edit that adds "Open command window here as Administrator" to the right click menu
Double-click to install, reboot after install may be required
http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?fil...134606820377175 << I suggest this, it's quick and easy way, reboot before enabled may be required

This is what i got. So the dump went well but can not write back.
I don’t need to see any of that info. Send me the created biosreg.bin dump though (in zip)
Of course you cannot write back, that’s the reason we’re here doing the other stuff
Sorry, I thought you’d read most of this thread already, or at least last few pages, I assumed too much but it’s OK we’ll get there
See attached. And i did read through stuff, but i didnt know which part exactly would unlock the write protect.
I can follow instructions though
biosreg.zip (5.86 MB)
Well since you didn’t know about FPT, I assumed maybe you just jumped right in at the end
We disable FPRR/PRR that blocks FPT BIOS region write (error 167) via use of H2OUVE. I get the variable to use to do that with your BIOS region dump above.
Here is modified vars, Program back in same way you dumped, but use this command >> H2OUVE.exe -sv varsM.txt
http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?fil…642791335054620
Ignore errors, reboot and then dump BIOS region once again with FPT (delete previous, or move etc), and then send me the new BIOS region dump (you can now write back BIOS region with FPT)
Once I have the new dumped BIOS region I will unlock the menus for you and send back modified BIOS region dump that you will then flash back in using FPTw.exe -bios -f biosregm.bin
