@Lost_N_BIOS : Morning, Ive got a Xiaomi Mi Gaming laptop 2nd gen (i7 8750h, HM370 A30D, gtx 1060m 6g), got pretty good HW for the price. The thing is that none of the software is up to date. Some Users are desperate about it PL1 and EDP even PL2 throttling all the time on load. (i myself just have pl1 at 45w on 28 seconds which is stock from bios(throtlestop cant change it even with "disable and lock power limits" but no pl1 anymore or thermal throttling cause i uv(ran 34.38-34.57 frequency on the 45w limit, on the past at a previous SW setup i was running 35.50-35.70 while pl1) I tried some ways like setting variants(setup_var) from opencore bootloaader environment, (in the proccess of fine tuning this laptop broke/corrupted many windows OS with sensitive data.) . modded vbios (UV+OC) on my gfx card 1060 6g and it runs great, i got stuck on the mb bios tho, eventually gave up afraid not to break anything(most shops here in greece dont even touch my laptop here as its not a very known device here and have never worked with it before). Also i have an error many of the times lately when i boot into windows bd prochot triggers, i can use the cpu fine tho and even push it to its limits, not even frequency drops or benchmarks scores drop, (cinebench always fluctuates between 2780 and 2880 even with bd prochot on boot i manage to get the right scores), i just check and if it is enabled untick it on throttlestop on every boot to be sure, i even disabled it from there but doesnt seem to work. can it be a false positive? cause when i open hwinfo it shows bd prochot as a "no" value.(note i tried reinstalling windows 3 times even tried once with windows update drivers, still remains with throttlestop. I also reinstalled bios and cmos reset)
Hey friend thanks for the answer, i want advanced bios menus and also if possible to update ME inside my bios, i also want to set some variables as standards/defaults because my laptop doesnt have cmos battery and bios just resets to defaults when battery dies out. (Also for your information the bios is Insyde of 2018-pretty outdated the latest from the manufacturer, so if anything comes to your mind that i could "update" inside the bios i would be more than happy to try, just to give it that fresh feel). also if possible i would wanna change my bclk-bus clock it is now 99.8 sometimes go as low as 99.5 i would like to make it 100 when i want to(is it included in the advanced menus?). thanks in advance
The Image that i sent you are the variables(setup_var -bit name-, (like for cfg lock disable) setup_var 0x3E 0x00)on the bios i want to disable/enable the variants permanently as defaults instead of changing everytime on advances menus, as i told you i DO NOT have CMOS battery, my bios cmos is powered by the laptop battery so when it dies, at 0% settings restore to defaults. And no thanks i DONT need coffee lake bios MOD, my motherboard is hm370 chipset already supports my 8th gen cpu by default.I have i7 8750h here are some screenshots attached So just to sum up i need to change the default variant bit values on BIOS, unlock advanced menus, i want to update ME FW inside the bios if possible , OC BCLK, OC Ram(should be in the advanced menus anyways) and uppdate microcode inside bios here is also the cpu-z validator link https://valid.x86.fr/k8jiwk Note that i have upgraded the microcode from windows is this a problem? i think i can reset it ---------------------------

Ok friend you are right, also i didnt open the board from both sides but have got the confirmation from other 4pda forum members that have this laptop too last time i had to cmos reset i toggled a setting that cmos resets the board in bios txt and reinstalled bios.
@filippos96 - Yes, I understood what that image was, but it’s a mess, and does not clearly show me what you want changed and it’s name etc. Please make a text list as I mentioned, exact setting name from IFR + what you want it changed to as default. Did you open system up, look at both sides of the board, to confirm these is no CMOS battery? If not, then you can’t be sure, and probably is one but dead. But yeah, no worries, we can change defaults Why are you posting in Coffee Mod BIOS thread if you do not need Coffee Mod BIOS? You should have made your own thread, please do that now and I will move our posts to your thread. I can’t do it myself right now, because I don’t even know what board you have, since your in wrong thread and model is not in title etc
