Take a stock bios update
Remove the capsule (0x0 - 0x1000) (UEFIToolNE or HxD)
That should give you a file exactly 16.777.216 bytes
Expand 4F1C52D3-D824-4D2A-A2F0-EC40C23C5916
Expand 9E21FD93-9C72-4C15-8C4B-E77F1DB2D792
Expand all down to 5C60F367-A505-419A-859E-2A4FF6CA6FE5
Go to 63F23E9D-5FDA-415E-9C2A-64C4E2A6ECE8 Freeform
Expand
Extraxt body from Raw section
Should give you exactly a file 8.388.608 bytes
Put this file before the bios update file without capsule (HxD) and you got a 24 MB complete image
(Make a backup of your own spi before flashing anything!)
(Bios region might get changed under an update, since the compressed FD and ME isn’t found in dumps)
(You might loose som board specific data like serial, mac)
If unsure post your results for check…
I have already created one. But I’m looking for a complete backup, with Intel ME intact. 100% backup, nothing thrown together
If possible not even updated.
Thanks anyway
The ‘thrown together’ firmware is the best you can get especially when thinking about a clean ME and clean / empty NVRAM settings?
What is it you want to achieve?
I prefer original from factory release not stocks. Just changing credentials (MAC,UUID etc).
Brother doesnt have, any backup original. Only messed up BIOS.
But i created a clean Image with his credentials +me. He said works better then before.
Can you confirm that Factory release BIOS is 100% same as Stocks, if correct prepared?
Because when i flash stock with… feels different. But could be, because when i flash my original backup i made from my board and then update per (from) bios, intel me didnt get updated.
Could be Intel ME related.
