MSI Prestige X570 Creation maybe has ASMedia usb hub.

The 1.0.0.13 USB drivers can work well with other AGESA, but not work well because AGESA Combo V2 1.1.0.0 C/ AGESA Combo V2 1.1.0.0 D/ AGESA Combo V2 1.1.8.0 still have some bugs about the USB.
Also you can use other USB driver like this: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/usb-3-xhci-driver-stack-for-windows-7-vista.81934/ ďźwhich can solve the problems.
thanks @canonkong although im perfectly happy with the 1.0.5.3 USB drivers, it just meant i had to remove the 1.0.0.13 drivers and install the 1.0.5.3 drivers but everything is working fine now, if i discover any problems the 1.0.5.3 USB drivers on the Prestige X570 Creation motherboard i will post them here but right now everything is running great!
Thanks @canonkong for the link to the modified MS 6.2.9200.22453 and 6.2.9200.16384 drivers.
I just installed the USB 3 driver you linked to at mydigitallife to test and possibly replace the 2.0.0.49 USB 3 drivers I have been using on my MSI X570 Gaming Plus motherboard, so far, so good. They installed perfectly and the uaspstor driver is much faster with my attached Samsung T5 drive. Thanks again.
Hello, I recently installed Windows 7 on my Crosshair VIII Hero (non-wifi) + Ryzen 9 5950x combo. USB working and no crashes in 2 days.
Iâd like to give instructions to install Windows 7 on (hopefully) any X570 board with a CSM present. No PS/2 Port or PCI card required.
I donât have permission to make posts with links right now, maybe later.
What AGESA? Latest?
BIOS says AGESA Version "ComboPIv2_1100_PatchC"
Interesting.
My ASUS TUF A15 (FA506IU) has successfully installed Win7 and GPU drivers(with Flashboot Pro EFI Loader & Canonkong modded ACPI Driver) , but Win7 canât actually use all GPUs. The symptom looks like the XHCI hand-off function has not been enabled and the XHCI controller cannot be used. 2020 ASUS laptop BIOS the CSM and switching options have been hidden.
Also, Realtek 8822CE WiFi&BT Card not work on Win7, modified Driver INF is useless.
Hello, I recently got the ASUS Maximus Crosshair VIII Hero X570 (5600x cpu) (non-wifi) and Iâm having trouble getting my Windows 7 install to work properly.
I started with the unmodified Windows 7 Professional x64 SP1 and added in KB3033929, KB2864202, KB2990941, KB3087873, along with the âSystem Deviceâ drivers found in âAMD_AM4_X399_TRX40_Drivers_B6_Win7_8.1_SHA256.7zâ from the original post, and the modified Microsoft XHCI driver mentioned in post #422 of this thread into boot.win and install.win.
The problem Iâm having, is when the setup starts loading, it will freeze in the middle of the Windows logo loading animation. This only happens when I have the modified Microsoft XHCI driver loaded into the image, if I remove it, the installer continues on like normal, but of course thereâs no USB functionality. Iâve also tried inserting the âAMD_1.0.0.13_MOD_Win7â driver and after that, also tried the âAMD_1.0.5.3_USB_MOD_Win7â driver, neither of them had the freezing problem, but there was also no USB functionality on any of the ports.
I used NTLite to add in the hotfixes and drivers, then made a bootable USB stick using Rufus. Iâve tried both GPT UEFI (non-csm) and MBR (BIOS or UEFI), disabled fastboot and enabled CSM in the BIOS.
I appreciate any advice, thanks!
@xeonxl
I had the same problem on my MSI X570 Gaming board prior to the Patch C bios update (AGESA ComboAm4v2PI 1.1.0.0 Patch C) where the Windows logo would hang, unchecking the legacy USB support in the older bios allowed a normal boot. If your issue is the same, you might try that.
@ xeonxl if your willing to spend a small amount of money there are hardware based work arounds you can try
https://www.amazon.com/JXSZ-Keyboard-ExpâŚ08395882&sr=8-8
https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-PortâŚ08396003&sr=8-3
either of these should (in theory) allow control of the windows install setup screen, another option you could try would be a fully automated setup ( i think that was a option for nlite) but that wont help you once you get into windows so a add-in card would still probably be needed.
hope this helps
I was able to get Windows 7 installed by disabling legacy USB support in the bios. Everything seems to work for the most part, one odd thing I noticed, is that sometimes when booting, itâll freeze during the Windows boot logo animation randomly, but not every single time.
Thanks for the advice!
I was able to get Windows 7 working on my Crosshair Hero VI. I used a different method than talked about here, but it was the first thing I tried and it worked.
I have an original Windows 7 DVD, and I used that with âGigabyte Image Toolâ and it injected SATA and USB drivers.
I then installed on to SATA SSD⌠NVME wouldnât work no matter what. I plugged mouse and keyboard into USB2.0 internal front headers. It worked fine. Then once Windows 7 installed, I updated to latest Windows updates (2020) using Simplix. Then installed random AMD drivers from canonkong for removing the alerts or warnings in Device Manager. It all went a lot smoother than I expected, but I understand the real challenge is X570 or B550. USB was already working for this board before I installed any extra drivers. It seems the Gigabyte Image Tool was already compatible (for this board). The last thing was migrating everything from the SATA SSD to the NVME, which worked 100%. This was the old fashioned way of installing using Legacy/CSM, and MBR and the original DVD (before SP1). Once I installed the custom drivers from canonkong, everything has been 100% good. No BSOD or anything. Itâs been perfect.
I lost mouse and KB when I installed official AMD drivers (oops). I used this card - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07VB9TD6D/?tag=phpprogramme, to do a system restore and revert back to previous drivers before installing AMD ones. That card doesnât work in BIOS, but it does work in Windows. You can have two mouse and KB installed, and use one for BIOS and one for Windows. Iâm not sure if this is the same card as mine but it is similar. I bought mine on AliExpress but it looks the same. It was buggy and the mouse and keyboard would sometimes freeze, but it works enough to fix something in Windows if you have a problem with your USB drivers and have no mouse or KB. It doesnât work well for 24/7.
Eventually I want to try other ways, but first I wanted to confirm basic things, in terms of overclock settings, RAM stability, which drivers work and which drivers donât etc etc. Windows 7 has been 100% stable.
I also will be trying other boards. I have a ASUS Crosshair Dark Hero, I have MSI B550 Gaming Pro Carbon, I have B550 Taichi. I will test which boards work with latest BIOS, and I will be selling the boards that donât work, and keeping the ones that do. And I will share here the results of my tests.
I will also try integrating updates into the installation media, and trying GPT install, or UEFI install. But first I need to validate which boards work and which boards donât. While I am doing that, I will stick with Legacy/CSM and MBR installing onto SATA SSD. Or switching this drive between different boards without reinstalling.
Thanks to @canonkong for this thread, and sharing information and drivers with us, to make this possible.
I didnât take many screenshots, but here are twoâŚ

Tip: Integrate7. Itâs a retard proof of making images for Ryzen. Itâs what I did for my setup (CH7, 3950X, Win7 Enterprise) and everything worked ootb when I threw in canonkongâs modded X470 drivers in the driver folder of Integrate7.
oh, and PLEASE test the C8DH under Win7! Itâs the #1 contender for my new system because fuck that chipset fan.
I tried AGESA 1.1.9.0 and AMD STILL hasnât fixed the goddamn ACPI tables!
@canonkong your acpi.sys isnât signed which causes it to trigger Startup Repair all the time so it doesnât work.
Tried it, gives me a ACPI related BSoD. Iâm fucking ready to move back to Intel if it means less bugs than the shitfest that is called AMD Ryzen.
@User32
I think you might have forgotten to replace the backup copies of acpi.sys in the .wim images.
In both your boot.wim and install.wim there will be other copies of acpi.sys - the main copy in system32\drivers and backup copies that windows hides from you (location varies)
I recommend mounting the .wim images like normal and then using voidtoolsâ Everything on the mounted .wim to locate all the acpi.sys files in the .wim image.
Wait, I have to insert it before installing? Yeah nah, iâm not going to reinstall my Windows yet again. Maybe if the C8DH doesnât like Win7 iâll integrate the modded acpi.sys
