I was trying to install win7, but when I start the setup, my mouse/keyboard donā€™t work. I have a TUF GAMING Z490-PLUS and i am willing to integrate the ASMEDIA drivers into my win7 image, I am unsure how tho.

@itai : Welcome to the Win-RAID Forum!
Since Windows 7 natively doesnā€™t support the USB 3.0/3.1 Controllers of modern Intel chipsets and Intel USB 3.0/3.1 drivers do not work with Win7, I have moved your help request into this much better matching thread of our Win7 Sub-Forum.
Regarding the integration of USB drivers into a Win7 Image you may look into >this< guide.
Good luck!
Dieter (alias Fernando)

hello :); alright I appreciate it. I am still unsure which drivers I should get for my ASUS TUF GAMING Z490-PLUS for the usb.

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_9A13&SUBSYS_00000000&REV_01
can you helpme with this

@mrgreen36

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_9A13

that is a thunderbolt 4 controller, try the drivers from your manufacturer.

they dont have drivers for windows 7

@mrgreen36

try them anyway, they might still work.

Hello, i want to use Win7 on my new build, Asrock B560M mobo with a intel 11400F cpu, what drivers i need?
Actually on my 9400F + Asrock B365 mobo, i made with dos DISM a win7 iso with the following drivers and working flawlessy.

Boot drivers injected into the iso:
Intel AHCI 15.9.8.1050
USB3 xhci controller 5.0.4.43

Drivers installed after the os installaton:
Intel chipset inf 10.1.17765.8094
Intel ME 1909.12.0.1237

In the first page of this topic i canā€™t find any drivers, can someone redirect or send me all the drivers i need to inject into the win 7 iso for 500 serie chipsets? Thank you.

Short: not sure about the best/simplest way how to install USB 3.0/3.1 drivers into a Shuttle DS10U barebone PC (8th gen Intel Whiskey Lake-U Celeron 4205U ULV CPU) which has Windows 7 32-bit already installed.

Long:

Hello,
About a year ago, I copied my 32-bit Windows 7 from my aging desktop PC into a new Shuttle DS68U barebone PC (Celeron 3855U processor). I used the "sysprep.exe" method, which is native to Windows 7,
allowing to easily transfer a complete OS into new hardware. In order to bypass the (temporary) issue of the missing USB 3.0 drivers during installation, I fitted the motherboard with an M.2 to PCIe adapter, into
which I plugged an old PCIe USB 2.0 card, which in turn had the USB-keyboard and USB-mouse connected to it. That allowed me to successfully install all the missing drivers (LAN adapters, Realtek audio, etcā€¦),
including the famous USB 3.0 driver, after which I could safely remove the "construction", dangerously bulging out of the body! The drivers were (and still are) generously provided by Shuttle, on their website.
Now I wanted to do the same for my second aging desktop PC, but the DS68U has vanished from the planet. Then I thought the DS10U would be a good replacement, thinking that the drivers provided by Shuttle for the
DS68U would also work for the DS10U (no drivers for DS10U, only Windows 10 support). Big mistake! All the drivers installed successfully, except for that USB 3.0 driver. I guess the reason is that the USB hardware
of the DS68U is USB 3.0 only, not USB 3.0/3.1 (?)
I searched the Internet for days, until I found you, I think you have the solution, any help is very much appreciated!

Update: problem solved!
I finally found the correct link to the USB 3.0/3.1 drivers, I should have looked better before posting!
I can now confirm that it works very well for the Shuttle DS10U with Intel Celeron 4205U (ULV) processor (Whiskey Lake U 8th Generation Intel Core).
Fantastic job you did!
THANK YOU - THANK YOU - THANK YOU

Hello Fernando - Remember you saying to link any Intel USB 3.0/3.1 drivers for some reason or another, think it was windows 7 x64, and just cam accross some over at ASUS USA Support. They ar for a 300 series chipset (H310) in A Prime Series Mobo. PRIME H310M-E R2.0 Motherboard with a CoffeLake-S IMC Northbridge and a Kaby Point H310C Southbridge and has the PCI Express Root Complex (Switch).

From Aida Exreme 6.50.5800:
Intel Kaby Point PCH - USB 3.1 xHCI Host Controller
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A2AF&SUBSYS_86941043&REV_00
USB Root Hub (USB 3.0)
USB\ROOT_HUB30&VID8086&PIDA2AF&REV0000

From ASUS America Support Website:
Version 5.0.3.42
2018/08/24 7.35 MBytes
USB3
Intel USB 3.0 Host Controller Adaptation Driver V 5.0.3.42 for Windows 7 64bit

Thereā€™s actually three different drivers availabe under this mobo, the only differences being the release dates. All else is identical! 07/10/2018 & 07/27/2018 & 08/24/2018.

Get this!!! As Iā€™m copy pasting info i look down and there is a Utility just below the USB file headings:

Version 1.04.02
2019/04/12 41.37 MBytes
ASUS EZ Installer
ASUS EZ Installer 1.04.02 to create a Windows 7 installation file with USB 3.0 drivers preloaded for 200 series motherboards.

Two things:
1.) Is it a typo or misplaced utility, this mobo is a 300 series???
2.) Sounds like that might be something worth having a close look at!

Hoping itā€™s something useful stuff in the everlasting ongoing quest for the Intel Unholy USB Grail!!!

(Iā€™m thinking Iā€™ve got this in a resonably on-topic post, lol!)

Windows 7
Asus ROG MAXIMUS Z690 APEX

and

Windows XP

Some Z690 OC motherboards still seem to be compatible with Windows 7 and Windows XP

Great find but I think Safedisk also had some old BIOS for Apex on LGA1200 but it was not a solid BIOS, just only made to run on Win7 itā€™s on HWbot forum. Might be a similar case. Edit - ASUS released a new BIOS for Z590 at hwbot which has Win7 and XP support, they wonā€™t A5 BSOD I guess However if those are correct and accurate that means thereā€™s a CSM option even on Z690 however not sure how Windows 7 can handle these small cores. Raptor Lake is even going to add more E cores to the mix. Win10 also has issues if we see Anandtech on ADL handling at the moment as per their take.

Hello, Does anyone have any modified Intel Chipset drivers for Z590 ?

One of my friend tried to install Windows 7 onto Z590 DARK but after installing the NVMe hotfix and all patches he was not able to see any SSDs in device manager also the board apparently doesnā€™t support Legacy / MBR or even UEFI boot with Macrium Reflect and Parition Wizard Minitool it seems, that put me into a worry state about Z590 DARK . Iā€™m thinking to buy ASUS Z590 APEX or MSI Z590 ACE or EVGA Z590 DARK for my build (Gigabyte has poor DIMM memory OC capabilities, even their Z590 Tachyon). Not sure why Canonkong removed all the drivers from the first page for Intel but we have all AMD HW got drivers. It would be a godā€™s gift if he can kindly upload them backā€¦ Thank you.

Where can i get this new Asus z590 bios that support Win7?

Edit by Fernando: Unneeded parts of the fully quoted post removed (to save space)

Well, I finally got Windows 7 almost fully functional. With some assistance with files from @canonkong followed by some INF modding of my own (some of my HWID were missing) everything except the same two PCI Express Root Ports is functional. The two M.2 ports the 970 EVO NVMe SSDs are mounted in are invisible (nothing in Device Manager) and there is no trace of those SSDs under Windows 7. Those ports and NVMe SSDs are normal and fully functional with W10 LTSC, W10 Pro and W11 Pro. So, I am thinking that the two PCI Express Root Ports with a code 10 status could be directly related to the M.2 slots not being visible. This issues I was having with Macrium Reflect and Mini-Tool are resolved now. The only issue now is that only USB and SATA drives are recognized (no M.2/NVMe visible) and my assumption (might be wrong, just a logical assumption) is that the PCI Express Root Ports #9 and #21 with code 10 status correspond with the two M.2 NMVe SSDs that are not accessible/visible.

I installed the latest Simplix W7 update pack (released yesterday) and that made no difference.

For the record, I was never able to install Windows 7 from USB on the X570 AMD setup or this new Z590 Intel setup. At the point of selecting the drive for installation during Windows Setup it was always missing a required driver even after slipstreaming all of the known necessary drivers. In both cases, I used DVD and an optical drive with PS/2 mouse and keyboard. After installing Windows 7 that way I was able to install drivers and get USB working. The built-in EVGA Z590 Dark PS/2 port works perfectly. I had to use a PCIe PS/2 add-in card on the X570 Crosshair VIII system because it did not have a PS/2 port.

Compare what is absent under "Storage controllers" in Device Manager.
