You need a vpro capable cpu, chipset and network adapter. The procedure to enable AMT is described here several times, last time here:

Seems that procedure should work for ME 15, too, but it seems that AMT disabling can now be fused irreversibly into the PCH. So check your settings with MEInfo first.

I do that with the manual step by step and AMT has been successfully ACTIVE!!!Thank you very much for your help!

Recommended to add follow setting to active KVM(remote desktop)

I use a CH431A programmer with NeoProgrammer softwear do that.

Tanks again! @lfb6 @plutomaniac

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, the pic is taken from an older thread, I’d leave EHBC on No and it’s of course necessary to enable KVM. The list should look like this now:

HideMEBxFwUpdCtrl value=“No”

AmtSupported value=“Yes”
MngHwStatus value=“Enabled” (This setting will permanently disable Manageability hardware through platform FPFs. At End-of-Manufacturing (EOM), enable/disable policy value is committed to FPF and can never be changed.)
NetServicesSupported value=“Yes”
MngAppSupported value=“Yes”
MngAppPowerUpState value=“Enabled”
AmtWdAutoReset value=“No”
KvmScreenBlnkEnable value=“No”
KvmSupported value=“Yes”
TlsCryptoSupport value=“Yes”

YES,as you said!
Thanks for your help.

Hi lfb6,
I want to add a note, after experimenting with updating my patched Dell Precision 7520 bios:
If AMT is enabled, these 2 values must be correct:
AmtWdAutoReset value=“Yes”
AmtIdleTimeout=“0x0001” ( I am not sure for name, but something similar)

If WdReset is not enabled, or Timeout is bigger than 1 sec (default is 0xFFFF),
then you will not be able to update your BIOS using F12 + usb with FREEDOS + .exe bios file.

The update will start, read the .exe file, and hang after rebooting

The only way to update is by using hw programmer

So my advice - always try to update your just-patched BIOS, using usb + .exe file
Have a nice day
