Surface Pro 6 - Remove UEFI Password

Hello,

My Surface Pro 6 was stolen and months later recovered by the police. I was able to wipe Windows and get things going only to realize the camera and other items didn’t work. Digging around realized the UEFI password was set and I need to get past this. Called Microsoft and they said the only option was to send the unit in and pay to fix/exchange. Trying to avoid this if possible.

I found a thread with a similar issue, but not sure the next steps. Not sure if this is even possible on the Surface 6.

I can boot from USB to UEFI shell. I can run RU.efi to read variables and also have dumped BIOS using fptw64. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Jay
