I have no problem ordering the CH341A and try. It just gonna take sometime, but I’m curious on the difference it will make. Because I checked on both bios and CPUID and the AFUDOS flashing method seems to be succeed. How do I exactly confirm?
AFU can not flash the locked area (desc,ME).
AFU can not flash the locked area (desc,ME).
i was going to get crazy , thanks for saving me , will buy one but it’ll take time .
i read that flash descriptor is locked for every software solution out there. so SPI programmer is the only solution
thanks for you continues support
------------
i have another z270f mobo and found that its firmware is 1009 which is having ME version 11.7.0.1229 , i used the tool but same problem immediate shutdown after pressing power
do i have to flash it using spi programmer ?

If your silver ink modification would not work, the board would not start at all. The mod is to check if the socket is occupied, without cpu in the socket no boot. So you know your board is starting (even if it immediatly shuts down) then you know that you silver ink modification is working properly.
Starting and shutting down immediatly is a problem from the management engine.
is there anyway to add the xeon v5 v6 to this tool so I can use the xeon on my board
thanks
i think i fixed it… i never downloaded the update alongside coffee time. after doing that it said the pcie fix was applied. i also did the all core sync as well. eeprom is being flashed now. will edit again if my pci issue is fixed
edited again. works perfectly. 5.1 clock and 1.42v. stable and going well with my 1080ti
ok so i posted a few months ago about doing this.
my bios modding and c341a worked fine. motherboard boots but only displays video without a Graphics card. isnt the allinone.exe suppose to fix that automatically?
i ran a freshly downloaded bios from asus website through the allinone and it does say this now that i look at it more
================================================================
ME Version of BIOS is 11.7.0.1229
ME TYPE of BIOS is Consumer
Chipest Z270

Ready Update GOP & VBIOS…
Updating gop…
Updating vbios…
Done!
’“3pcie-patch”’ is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
is that the issue?
yes you will. i have a asus z270 AR and it needed the c341a. but you MUST check the eeprom manufacturer and model number and input it to the programmer software. the normal software i see people on youtube using only works for 64Mbit chips and smaller. mine was a 128Mbit. so i had to use this spi programmer. https://www.kazmielecom.com/2018/07/27/c…e-download.html (i used the special edition)
how i did it in that program was "read data from chip" "save buffer data to file" "erase chip" "read data from chip" (make sure its empty) "open file" (the bin file your allinone.exe made) "write chip" "verify chip data"
Thanks Bro
please please anyone, show me how to add xeon v5 v6 microcdes to this tool so I can use my xeon
You would be better off using the CoffeeTime tool.
From the ‘Advanced Mode’ menu you need to select ME HAP-bit - ME DISABLED and insert the correct microcode manually also using the ‘Advanced Mode’ menu (if it is not an ES CPU).
Some boards have MERecovery if you disable ME so you may also need to remove MemoryREcoveryDxe.
Note that this won’t work with all boards, so try it at your own risk.
i used coffeeLake_MOD_Tool_By.revlaay - eng to get i3 9100f U0 on my msi z270a pro.
bios done all automated juzt presing 1 or 2.
flashing and iolatin pins as on schame https://2ch.hk/hw/src/3527903/15538858521071.png
works like a charm easy as taking candy from a child.
Just to be sure, should I follow the Pinmod map for Asus motherboard or the one for 9900k?
There seem to be three different pins.
i actually didnt patch in the update that came wiht the coffeetime download.
all working now wonderfully on my z270 AR at 5.1 and 1.42v
@revlaay @svarmod @chinobino @_haru
Can Z170N-Gaming 5 BIOS be made compatible with i3-9100F? Sorry to have to ask this, but I haven’t really kept up with all these mods and what is now working vs what didn’t before etc.
Thanks
I don’t see why not, coffeetime or the other one (forgot the name, sorry) should be able to take care of it. Not sure what the stepping is, but you may need to block some pins accordingly.
Thanks. Yes, I’m not sure on stepping either, do not have CPU but am shopping around and wanted to know best I could before I purchased the CPU. It would be brand new CPU from retail store, so should be normal retail stepping
Ohh, do you mean chipset stepping on the motherboard, I need to check? If yes, I can boot it with some other CPU and check if needed.
No he means the CPU revision;
906EA = 9100F U0
906EB = 9100F B0
and also possibly;
906ED = 9100F R0
Yes, what @chinobino said. The stepping of the CPU will determine whether you need to block pins to prevent motherboard failure; IIRC B0 coffee is basically kaby lake so minimal (if any) blocking is only required.
Well I’d hope it would be latest/best retail, since I’d be purchasing from store that sells tons of CPU’s, but yes, I guess we never know till it’s in my hands.
Thanks for the thoughts guys!
