Thanks Rez , i’ve used stock ASUSTeK_STRIX_Z270F_GAMING_0906 patched it with latest CoffeeLake MOD tool and RGB are working fine
just why you want to use the z370f port , any differences ?
do you have bios mod for asus strix z270f gaming?i have the same board too
can you share that bios?
thank you
there you go but you will need a CH341A programmer to flash the bios

did u apply the cpu padding ?
I tried the 1009 and up but it just won’t boot up.
I will tried the 0906 later this weekend since at least your RGB is working.
Update: 0906 won’t boot up my 9900k, will revert back to 370f port RGBless
@svarmod any insight?

Hi there, I just joined this forum to share my experience with the automated tool that has been developed, and shared in this post. My PC specs are Gigabyte H110M-S2H with a Pentium Gold G4600 cpu and an XFX RX 470 4GB graphics card. I’m running Windows 10 Professional. Prior to trying the mod, everything was working fine, no problems whatsoever. I downloaded the tool, as I wanted to try my i3-8100 that I removed from my other PC that I upgraded, and once the PC rebooted into Windows there was some serious artifacting (like dynamic waves) going across the screen. I tried to play with the drivers a little bit, checked the temps, but nothing changed. As a result I reverted to the previously unmodded bios and everything returned to normal. Although, I’ll probably avoid making another attempt to flash the modded bios, in the end of the day I don’t want to brick my motherboard, this maybe information you’d like to have for future versions / possible fixes of the modding tool. Finally please note, that I used my Pentium cpu for all the testing, I haven’t made any hardware changes before/after flashing the modded bios.
I’m glad it worked for you. It would seem that Gigabyte boards misbehave, whereas ASUS / Asrock work well with this mod. I’ll probably keep my pentium or sell my i3-8100 and buy an older generation i5/i7.
Are there any known issues/successes with Asrock Z270 Fatal1ty Gaming-Itx/AC?
Would like to try 9900K - I made a patched BIOS using the handy AIO tool but would like to know some things before committing to getting a chip:
- Is HT likely to work?
- Is iGPU likely to work?
- Are there likely to be any issues with the Thunderbolt chipset? This motherboard is one of the few with thunderbolt.
- Are there any other issues I should be aware of?
Thanks.
Checking in to see if there are any newer Asus bios than 2202 for the Maximus VIII Formula that support the 9900K? Been running my 9900k with HT on with all 16 threads since June without an issue. Noticed a few bugs with this bios which are a bit of a pain but found work arounds. I can’t find a solution for an AVX offset problem. With the 2202 bios it downclocks my CPU by 100Mhz on AVX workloads even though I’d rather it doesn’t. I know Asus released the AVX offset option on z170 boards with newer bios I remember seeing it in 3801 before I upgraded my 6700k to the 9900K. I currently have it running at 5.1Ghz w/ 1.36V 24/7 since June without any problems. AVX workloads clock down to 5Ghz while others run fine at 5.1Ghz.
I would not know of significantly newer UEFIs that work. But there is a 95 % chance that either workloads without AVX would run at 5.2 as well or that the CPU would crash with AVX at 5.1 anyway.
Will this mod unlock the CPU multiplier for h270m chipsets?
Hello Guys, very new here.

Can’t you see the security warning flashing?? Disable your antivirus and extract zip file again
