Which rst driver version(s) have you tested in combination with those oroms?

cheers,
Jerome.

I think I used what Fernando has recommended to other people, so I used 11.2.0.1006 driver with 11.2.0.1527 ROM, 12.8.11.1000 driver with 12.7.0.1936 ROM, and 13.0.2.1000 driver with 13.1.0.2030 ROM.

I didn’t spend a lot of time testing any of them since I probably won’t end up using a RAID 0 when I do a "final" OS install this time around, but I was just curious what the setup could do since I had the parts to play with.

@ N607:

Thanks for your report, but I cannot see, what the UBU tool had updated at least.
Has it just been the Intel VGA-ROM (now v2170) and nothing else?

Unfortunately, yes…

This new updated Bios have wiped all previous settings. Done again all others but with the Intel VGA-ROM 2170 change.

@ N607:

Thanks for your reply. So I have just updated your last report regarding the VGA-ROM version.

First thank you very much to fernando for his work and this forum.

Success report
Asrock z68 extreme4 gen3 (Bios beta L2.31A)

Inserted:
Universally TRIM modified" Intel RST(e) RAID ROM v12.9.0.2006 with TRIM in RAID0 support
+
Universally TRIM modified" Intel “SataDriver” v12.9.0.2006 GUID 90C8D394

Trim is functional on Windows 8.1 update 1 in UEFI ultra fast boot mode, with my RAID 0 of 5*SSD Crucial C300 64 GO.

Previously I’ve inserted a v11.5.0.1414 or v11.5.0.1582 ROM only (don’t remember witch one) and trim was functional in legacy mode. but since I tweak my Windows install from legacy to UEFI trim seem to don’t work any more.

As I understand trim need ROM + SataDriver >= v11.6 to work in RAID and UEFI mode.
I think that will be a good idea, to add this precision on the Intel AHCI ROM modules page.

Since I patch the other module With UBU ultra fast boot mode considerably increase there performance. Windows 8.1 update 1 boot now on desktop in less than 6 second.
