I’m trying to isolate strange win startup behavior as I closely monitor debug LED on the board watchin A0 code delaying the boot process a few seconds. As manual state “IDE Initializing process starting” so i tried diff AHCI sata drivers etc to no luck. Some time code does pass very quickly without delaying the booting process, thats make me wonder what can be the problem.
this only does with win fast startup enabled, that means suspend to disk “hybrid” mode.
Why do you think this problem is ME related? What motherboard do you have? Have you applied the latest stock BIOS from the OEM? Have you run the ME verification tools (MEInfo & MEManuf, section C1) as pointed out at the ME thread?
I tried all other options within bios that running latest ver. thought that might be ME related as it mentioned in ME thread lelated to boot process. using latest MEI_Consumer_V11051189 from ASUS on Rampage 4 gene board.
Apply the latest stock BIOS from ASUS via BIOS Flashback, in-BIOS updater or whatever. Restore BIOS defaults and reboot. Once booted run MEInfo & MEManuf from section C1 and show the result here.
Error 9459: Internal error (Could not determine FW features information)
Error 9296: MEManuf Test Failed (9257)
when running MEinfo64 MEManuf
Please provide me with answers to all the questions I asked or suggestions I made. Did you apply the latest stock ASUS BIOS? Did you restore BIOS defaults (preferably try a clear CMOS)?
Try the DOS or EFI versions of MEInfo and MEManuf, what do they report? Also, do you see a ME Firmware (version) or similar field at the ASUS BIOS? If yes, what does it report?
sorry I didn’t see any ME Firmware with ASUS Bios only the bios file.
Last chance to answer the aforementioned questions. Even the manual has a picture which shows the ME version at section 3.4

Now that was a proper reply. Everything looks fine. Whatever issue you are having should not be ME related.
It seems not ME related but I’m still trying to dig further into this and will see what happens. thanks anyway plutomaniac
