@SoniX
8086-0406 Intel Skylake VBIOS 9.0.1029
Yes. SKL 06E3 - 4A
Thank you.
Did I miss something? UBU can now update X99 Aptio V? So it should work even on Z170?
Yes, perhaps only a partial update.
For some reason, my one onboard I210 updates from UNDI 6.0.24 to UNDI 0.0.09. Shouldn’t it be updating to 6.9.07? On Aptio V.
If only one network controller i210, the upgrade should be up to version 6.9.07.
Specify the a model board and BIOS.
Thanks for the reply.
I have an MSI X99S-MPOWER BIOS vM.71

bus 3 sm951…
bus 5 sm951…
but the irst don’t see that unit
wath i’ve missed to do?
That’s what i was inquiring.
I’ve this Microsoft update on my machine: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3064209 , and HWiNFO64 showed 1B
But my Bios file was still in version 17 and I updated today to 1B with UBU…i just wasn’t sure of the result…
This Microsoft KB3064209 contains Haswell microcode, which disabling overclocking features on Intel non-Z chipsets motherboards (like popular combination Pentium G3258 + H81). After this update, Windows doesn’t boot.
Suggestion for SoniX: If UBU contains same microcode, can you insert warning?
Here is solution for Windows 7/8.1 users:
1) open command prompt as administrator, type
start /wait wusa /uninstall /kb:3064209 /quiet /norestart
2) hide KB3064209 update
3) enable overclocking
For Windows 10 users:
1) delete or rename C:Windows\System32\mcupdate_GenuineIntel.dll in safe mode

it updates the cpu microcode list based on the current installed cpu! install the cpu, then dump, then update bios rom file, and finally flash modified bios file.
OK, thank you f3bandit, but i don’t know how microcode to this processor.
if I understood correctly:
1) i use MMTOOL, load dump bios, add microcode
2) install bios, install new processor
