[ARCHIVE] Outdated UBU Tool related Questions, Reports and Suggestions

I have used for a while the version 1B that came out nearly at the same time Microsoft pulled it out too with it’s .dll file patched, then briefly used version 19 but upgraded to the latest version 1C on my i5 3570K. Since i do not overclock as much as before and my processor stays steady well at @4.4GHz i don’t see the need for the version 19 anymore. I have also allow the sandy bridge to latest version 29.
Remember that i’m using Windows 7 x64 bit.

Regards.

HI ,SIR ,where is the SOFTWARE DOWNLOAD?

Please read the first post. You will find the links there.

@jama8 :
Welcome at Win-RAID Forum!

As our Forum member hobbya already has written, you will find the download links within the start post of >this< thread, just at the beginning of the "Guide".
Since you have posted your question into the thread, which has been designed just for the UBU guide and Update announcements, I have moved your and hobbya’s post into the correct UBU discussion thread.

UEFITool New Engine Alpha 27

I used the UBU tool this evening to update a new BIOS from Gbyte.
Everything worked ok but when I tried to update the ME firmware
version, it said I had to do this manually. I am still learning how to '
properly modify the BIOS and I am wondering how to do this? or,
do I wait until I have updated the BIOS and use the Firmware Update
tool from this site?

Thanks for looking. :slight_smile:

@SoniX
Hi, it is possible to obtain the manual selection for LAN modules as in UBU version 1.33?

What is the problem?

Motherboards with dual LAN have problems after upgrading one of the two does not work.
1 x Giga I217V + 1 x Giga I211AT = The second LAN (I211AT) is OFF, it is not visible in the BIOS.
If you manually update the form with "OROM Boot Agent GE 1.5.62" is everything OK.
Thank you

@asrlab
Plwasa attach file BIOS.

Link bios

@asrlab
You want to use an external network card?

No, onboard
1 x Giga PHY Intel® I217V, 1 x GigaLAN Intel® I211AT

@asrlab
Strange. BIOS contains only 1 ORUM Intel LAN and must be 2.
Okay. Tested.

Edit:
File removed. Implemented in version 1.52.

Now ubu is perfect!

1 - Update Automatic Mode (CL refers to clients supports, which is for the Gigabit LOM’s. (Desktop Lan On Motherboard) It does not work with this motherboard)
- OROM LAN Intel BootAgent CL 0.1.06
- EFI LAN Intel Gigabit UNDI v0.0.09
2 - Update Force Mode for Intel (GE refers to supports for server silicon. (Server Adapters) it’s perfect!)
- OROM LAN Intel BootAgent GE v1.5.62
- EFI LAN Intel PRO/1000 UNDI v6.6.04

The same problem occurs with bios supermicro, example: link bios download

Thank you, so much!

@asrlab

On this motherboard 2 NIC 210/211 or 1 NIC 82579 + 1 NIC 210/211?

Should the contents of the leftover "_OROM_in_FFS.txt" be reported or does UBU fail to delete it?
