UBU is no more updated ?

Which CPUs are 906EA and 906EB?

Sorry for that, did i do something wrong when extracting the file?

So strange, I checked and latest UBU gives mismatch when updating both Skylake and Kabylake microcodes in Asus Z170 Deluxe; what to do? Some suggestion on editing the FIT? I tried but I don’t find the HEX values

Edit: 1.69.4, too

Hello, how would I be able to replace EFI modules using UEFITool?

It is rather easy:
1. Open the BIOS by using the UEFITool and search for the DXE Drivers.
2. Go to the DXE Driver module you want to update and expand the complete content by clicking onto the arrows in front of it.
3. Right-click onto the listed “PE32 image section” and choose the option “Replacy body…”.
4. Navigate to the *.efi file you want to insert instead of the native body and doubleclick onto it.
5. Save the BIOS with the updated EFI module (click onto “File” from the menu > “Save image file…”)
6. Let the UEFITool re-open the changed BIOS and look, whether the EFI module has been properly updated (if you want, you can extract the related *.ffs file by doing a right-click onto it, then open it by using a Hex Editor and look for the module version).

@Fernando Also is there a way to convert UEFI FFS modules to EFI modules like how @SoniX does in UBU for example the IRST UEFI modules it’s in the xx.efi format. Thanks for your quick reply in the above post.

@SoniX @Fernando

Intel Skylake-Kabylake GOP 9.0.1069 VBT is version 2.12

up :slight_smile:

@tistou77 :
A new UBU Update will be published, when it is done. So please be patient.
Although I don’t know it, there must be a severe reason why SoniX hasn’t released a new UBU version since 2 months. Maybe he is working on a totally revised UBU platform, which doesn’t need the AMI Aptio UEFI MMTool anymore.
Do you really think, that SoniX will work faster, when he sees your posts and spends his time to answer your repeated question?
Which update interval would please you? Can you really imagine, how difficult SoniX’s work is?

@Fernando
I was asking because modules were updated and UBU was not updated (and usually had updated quickly), nothing serious
After that if we can replace ourselves the files in the directory of UBU

That is the disadvantage, when someone does everything instantly. Then the users/customers expect this instant service forever (no matter what happened).

It was also to know if the app was not stopped :wink:

Also fully compatible with Coffee Lake.

This question - and your last one - have nothing to do with the topic of this thread.
Probably the best location for your UEFITool questions is >this< thread, which has been started by me today. Maybe you will find the answers already within my new guide about how to extract, insert and replace EFI BIOS modules by using CodeRush’s UEFITool.

What is the difference between platform 2A and platform 22 for Kaby Lake?
Can I flash 2A file on my laptop? UBU shows platform 22 but size hex is the same
Have you cpu000906E9 date09-08-2017 for platform 22 ? Please give link for dowloading

Platform 22 and 2A this is the same thing.
After the release of Kaby Lake-X, Intel decided to call it differently, that’s all.
