Maybe i Just missed something.
I’ve download the BIOS 3602 for ASUS P8P67 Deluxe.
It updated all modules as it was supposed to do. OK so far so good.
Looks now it’s possible to have the 13.x OROM for RAID !
But i wish to use the special OROM for TRIM Support that is posted on the other post by Fernando, how do i known if the one inside UBU is that one ? can i replace somewhere the file to make sure it will use that version instead of the one i don’t know if its that or not ?
@ygor.almeida
Yes, inside the folder ubu\orom\irst you have the subfolders for 12.9 and so on. Just change the file SataOrom.bin with the one for trim support (you have to rename it to SataOrom.bin so ubu can work with it).
Best regards
@ ygor.almeida:
Welcome at Win-RAID Forum!
I remember you and our discussion at MDL Forum.
If yes, can you give me the link?
The UBU tool will insert only original (not modified) OROM or EFI modules. Nevertheless it is possible to get modified modules into the BIOS by using the UBU tool.
If you want to get the TRIM in RAID0 supporting modded Intel RAID ROM v13.1.0.2030 into your BIOS by using the UBU tool, you should do the following:
- Download the actual UBU tool and extract it into the root of any drive (example: drive D:).
- Open the folder D:\UBU_vXXX\OROM\IRST\13_1 and delete the file named "SataOrom.bin".
- Download the "Universally TRIM modified Intel RAID ROM v13.1.0.2030", extract it and rename the file to "SataOrom.bin".
- Copy the modded SataOrom.bin file into the folder D:\UBU_vXXX\OROM\IRST\13_1.
- Run UBU.bat and choose to update the Intel RAID ROM to v13.1.0.2030.
- Let the UBU tool update other modules, if you want.
- Flash the BIOS, which had been updated by the UBU tool.
- Enjoy TRIM in RAID0 support with your Intel P67 RAID0 system.

Fernando
EDIT: Hanson was faster with his reply, but there is no difference regarding our answer.
Hi Fernando / Hanson,
Yeah, it worked just fine here. That’s really great - just liked the new tool.
Btw, it also worked with the pre-patched bios with PMP-Patch from codeRush for MacOS X Hack … so far so good.
In fact the project was for Brazil not Argentina LOL … but no, i never started because of my new job didn’t had time. I’m away from boards … but i was loolking for one thing, and just found out your forum again.
I will try to get start again my projects. So far i’m an administrator from www.criminalcafe.com - its from a well known Overclocker in Japan that have also part of of his team here in Brazil.
If you and SonicX don’t mind i will reproduce your instructions on Portuguese-Brazil inside our forum - as usual all credits to you and SonicX
@ SoniX:
Can you please give me a link to the uncompressed Intel SataDriver.ffs file GUID 90C8D394?
Ok, I will do only a little later.
Edit:
Made. Please delete this post.
If I replace the "SataOrom.bin" from UBU Tool with your modified "Universally TRIM modified Intel RAID ROM xx.x.x.xxxx" Do I need to replace also the "SataDriverxx.ffs" to get TRIM support ifever I want to install a Windows 8.1 UEFI? Thanks.
Yes, but until now no "Universally TRIM modified" Intel SataDriver module is available for the public. So the interested users with a Z68 chipset and an SSD RAID0 running the OS in UEFI mode have to use the "Especially modified" SataDriver modules with TRIM in RAID0 support for Z68 systems.
If you or anyone else is willing to test a "Universally TRIM modified" SataDriver version (requires an SSD RAID0 and an UEFI mode OS installation), please send me a PM.
Is it possible to add processor support to a motherboard? I have a ES E5-2689 CPU doesn’t seem to do anything in the Z9PE-D8 WS board.
Thanks
Is this a question regarding the UBU tool?
I guess, I’m not entirely sure. May just be out of luck.
@ TheOneAndOnly:
As the name says, the UBU tool is an “UEFI BIOS Updater” and doesn’t add any originally not available functions.
@ SoniX:
Your UBU tool offers Intel EFI RAID SataDriver modules with different GUIDs (SataDriver43.ffs, SataDriver43_x79.ffs, SataDriver90.ffs and SataDriver91.ffs).
Do you know, for which special Intel systems these different GUIDs are designed?
The knowledge of the suitable GUID version is very important especially for P67/Z68 RAID users, who want to install Win7 or Win8.1 in UEFI mode. Usually the original BIOSes for P67/Z68 mainboards do not contain any EFI module (SataDriver, GopDriver, LAN/Undi), but are able to use them, if the correct modules have been inserted.
@ Fernando
SataDriver90.ffs (GUID 90C8D394-4E04-439C-BA55-2D8CFCB414ED) - for all 6 and 7 series
SataDriver91.ffs (GUID 91B4D9C1-141C-4824-8D02-3C298E36EB3F) - for 7 series GigaByre and 8 series
SataDriver43.ffs (GUID 43A0B8C4-1160-1702-A46D-DDC03E52CB5C) - for all X79 series
SataDriver43_X79.ffs (GUID 43A0A7B3-1E92-42EF-A46D-DDC03E52CB5C)- for X79 series ASUS
@TheOneAndOnly
Just use the latest BIOS for that board. According to this and this, E5-2689 has a 206D6 CPUID and it is covered by latest 5404 BIOS, but also by UBU.
But you should definitely use UBU, as I have never seen such a cluttered BIOS. It has 2 identical SCU ROMs that are not linked to preserve space; it has 2 copies of 8086-10D3 Intel Lan PXE; 2 copies of 8086-1FFF Intel Lan Setup Option; 1 ASPEED AST2000 GOP Driver in CSMCORE!!!; 1 ASPEED AST2000 VBIOS in padding.
It also has some interesting things, like ASPEED VBIOS + GOP Driver, Intel ME FW 2.1.7.231, 8086-1D04 LSI MegaRAID IDE, Intel Lan UNDI 5.3.00 in E5300X3 / GUID 1B22B3F2-3151-4468-8AF3-590650EEAD22
Here is my recommendation: use latest BIOS, open in MMTool and delete 8086-10D3 + 8086-1FFF. Press delete only once for each one and save. If you reopen your BIOS file, you will see that they will still be there, just the duplicate has been removed. Update everything with UBU, but you can also use MMTool to update E5300X3 with one of the files attached.

Hi all and thank you for this great forum. I have a question: is it possible to add to UBU the Intel RST(e) RAID ROM v13.0.0.2075? I read the manual modding’s instructions but I’m too scared to proceed in that way. thank you again
@ Shakur92:
Welcome at Win-RAID Forum!
If there should be a demand for this special OROM, I am sure, that SoniX will add this Intel RAID OROM v13.0.0.2075.
Maybe you can even use the current UBU version, if you can tell me the GUID start code of the "SataDriver" module, which is within your mainboard BIOS.
Regards
Fernando

Thanks, the GUID start code of my satadriver module is 90C8D394
@ Shakur92:
Ok, then you can do the following:
- Download and unzip the attached file named “SataDriver90.ffs”.
- Open the UBU tool subfolder UBU\OROM\IRST\13_1 and delete the file named “SataDriver90.ffs”.
- Insert the downloaded file with the same name into the 13_1 subfolder.
- Run the UBU.bat and choose to update the SataDriver to v13.1.0.2030 and you will get the SataDriver v13.0.0.2075.
Good luck!
SataDriver90.rar (80.4 KB)
I see no reason to add version 13.0 0.2075 in UBU.
Version 13.1.0.2030 is tested and successfully works Z68/77/87.
