I have the same issue as coromonadalix (post #4349).
My motherboard is an asus x79 deluxe with core i7 4930K
Huuummm… where is the download/attachment? Am I missing something?
EDIT: Sorry, found it by searching “MMTool Aptio 5.02.0024 Mod” on Google.
The patched MMTool 5.2.0.24 worked fine in the last v 1.6 versions, not in the latest 1.7 rc xx … i checked the patch offsets of the mmtools i have, and they are fine ???

I have the Asus Z170 Pro Gaming and download >"pure" Intel RST(e) EFI "RaidDriver" v15.9.2.3365 (without header)< but dont understand how flash this and how can i see which version i have it? I have download UBU_v1.70.rc8_without-MMTool and MMTool 5.2.0.24 Patched and now?
@Scoty :
I have moved your post into this better matching thread.
As written within the start post of this thread, you have to put the desired “pure” Intel RaidDriver version into the UBU subfolder Files\Intel\RST and to rename the file to “RaidDriver.efi”, before you run the UBU.bat.
After having updated the EFI RaidDriver, the UBU tool will show you the new (= your demanded) version.
I would like to report a bug.
UBU 1.70 rc8 does not work with Asrock EP2C602 BIOS (http://asrock.pc.cdn.bitgravity.com/BIOS…02(1.90)ROM.zip) as it reports CSMCORE not found.
However, UBU 1.69.17.2 works on the exact same BIOS image flawlessly.
@Lost_N_BIOS Hi, yes I’m interesting that you can mod bios for me. I could mod bios with ubu 1.7 rc8 with network efi sata and rom and marvell but without last microcode update in 42D. If I mod microcode processor update too my pc doesn’t start.
here my bios mod without micro code update.
thanks advance
X79DLX-most recent with all new bios.zip (5.04 MB)
Here is updated BIOS @greb I only updated 306E4 microcode, done manually with UEFITool 0.25 + hex (Extract one ucode module, edit, replace at x4 locations - not 5) - Should be OK
Great, thanks for quick report back!
Its not work by me.
Hi there again,
just got my new ASRock Z370 Professional Gaming i7 today and tried to update latest BIOS v3.10 with latest UBU (as i always did with my ASRock Z270 Super Carrier w/o any problems, evan when flashing).
But when i try to flash it through “Instant flash” i allways get the message “Secure flash check fail!”. What am i missing? Or is it possible, that ASRock has changed their Capsule-Method once again and we need to patch this with a newer fix?
I read the whole thread but could not find any post mention this behaviour.
PS: tried it with older UBU1.69.xx and with latest UBU1.70.rc8 - also tried the method mentioned here.
EDIT:
This is what i tried so far:
opened the attached original ASRock Z370 Pro Gaming i7 BIOS v3.10 with UBU BIOS Updater v1.69.17 - and this is the log file:

So you see, nothing was changed by myself - just opened and saved as modified BIOS file for "instant flash". But this gives error message "Secure flash check fail!":
So i tried same original, unmodified BIOS with latest UBU v1.70.rc8 - and this is the Logfile:

Also tried to "instant flash" this modified BIOS - but still the same message: "Secure flash check failed!"
The modfication seems to be ok, cause capsule is still in the same position in this BIOS:
But the UBUmodification still seems not to work on ASRock Z370 BIOS files and maybe some of the pros (@CodeRush @ket @SoniX @lordkag ) could take a look on it again to fix the “Secure flash check fail!”-message again.
P L E A S E . . .
As i already mentioned above: always used UBU (v1.69.17 and v1.70.rc8) to bring my ASRock Z270 Super Carrier BIOS to the latest SATA-, VBIOS-, Network-EFI and Microcode and it never was a problem to “instant flash” those modified BIOS files before.
So any help with this is greatly appreciated. Thanx in advise…

Asus P9D-I 1801 or 2101- can’t update IRSTe Orom from 3.7 to 4.7 with 1.70rc9. Put the correct files in RSTe folder, UBU does recognize them but doesn’t update OROM. Same result with mmtool 5.0 and 5.2. UBU 1.69 can do both and the system is working fine with this version. Where is my fault? Thanks in advance!
Fixed - 1.70 rc9 fix
I have found a bug in UBU v1.70.rc9-fixed when updating Asus Z9PE-D8 WS mainboard.
At main menu →
4 - Other SATA Controller [Current version] OROM Marvell 88SE9230 - 1.0.0.1008 → [Available version] - 1.0.0.1024
After choosing 1 - Update Marvell, UBU says:
The system cannot find the file \Mrvl92xx.txt. → Press any key to continue . . .
This needs fixing!
Tested the new 1.7 rc10, downloaded the patched mmtool 5.2.0.24, and the Intel-RST files
In UBU the 4 - other sata controller is updating ok, (was crashing in the previous 1.7 x versions)NOW the 1 - Disk controller is updating, but stall after the "file is replaced" and the OMROM IRST DevID 2822 message, nothing happens and doesnt exit ???
the cursor just blink ???
EDIT : just saw the other windows who says : Error in opening the input module file ???
Dang I badly renamed one of the IRST files, there was an hidden space
Sorry ALL is working fine thks for the work
