Sorry I couldn’t tell the model of the mobo on my first post.
It’s the p9x79 pro, can you please check the bios and tell me the microcode line ?
Thanks
Please re-read my last posts. I had checked exactly the BIOS you meant and posted the line and the GUID of the CPU Microcode module.
Please Look at this bios : Here
This is the Asus p9x79 pro bios 1203. Please tell me the guid for microcode.
I included the link above but for some reasons it’s not working. So here it’s again:

Thanks alot
Thanks a lot mates .
Il flash the chip and get back to post some benchmarks .
Could I request to have the reset CMOS option disabled in the next release?
Thx. Keep up the good work
Running into a issue!?!
I’m running a ASRock Fata1ity Z97X Killer, All mods seem to work fine while using the tool. No errors etc! but when I goto flash I get a message “No image found”???
the flash tool is scanning the file on the drive looking for something that’s apparently missing!?!?
Nevermind I found the solution in the forums, But I had to approach the issue in reverse! I had to remove the security header prior to doing any modding to the bios file at all.
step 1 remove file check security header, step 2 SLIC 2.1 mod bios, And step 3 update my microcodes, vbios, sata controller, and lan oprom modules.
this is just a heads up for anyone having similar issues with ASRock boards.

@ f3bandit:
Welcome at Win-RAID Forum and thanks for your contribution.
I will add your advice to remove the BIOS security header before starting the BIOS modification into my ASRock BIOS modding guide (look >here<).

so this may be a silly question, But how do you add modules to the UBU.bat? Like say I find a updated orom, module, driver, or microcode. And I want to it to be added to the list of options in the UBU.bat.
How would I go about that? can I just change the file ext to ffs for example?
Yes, although I do not really recommend to do it (it may be very risky).
This is the way to do it:
1. Open the related subfolder within the "Modules" folder, where the special sort of modules are, which you want to get changed.
2. Replace any of the module versions by the one you want to get inserted. You should not change the file name! That means: The original file should simply be overwritten by the one with the desired version.
3. Run UBU.bat and choose the module version you have replaced by another version.
4. The UBU tool will insert the desired module into the BIOS.
5. Check it by extracting the inserted module.
Mainboard: SuperMicro X10SLM±LN4F
BIOS: 2.0 (x10slmp4_424.zip)
In addition there are two different Intel OROM PXE in BIOS: 1.4.04 and 1.4.10.
Is it safe to update first and remove 2nd one?
Edit:
Mainboard: SuperMicro A1SAi-2750F (Avoton)
BIOS: 1.0c (A1SAi4_227.zip)
UBU (1.70 and 1.80PR1) MMTools crashes when opening BIOS-File.
The AMI Aptio MMTool doesn’t crash, when you let it open just the extracted BIOS Region.
You can extract this 11 MB sized BIOS part by using CodeRush’s UEFITool.

Mainboard: SuperMicro X10SLM±LN4F
BIOS: 2.0 (x10slmp4_424.zip)
Use UBU 1.8.0 PR1.
Why remove something?
This BIOS version Aptio 5 not supported by the current MMTool.
Edit:
This BIOS SM X10SLM±LN4F BIOS: 2.0, IRSTe has Device ID 2822 instead of 2826.

Hello!
Please look at this BIOS G1.Sniper A88X (rev. 3.0). Very similar to each other modules RAIDXpert2 F10 and F50. What do you think? They it should be a difference in one byte?
Added:
I forgot to ask. Do you have modules RAIDXpert2 newer than this BIOS? I want to add for release UBU.
I personally don’t but I can check the net and the forums! what do you want me to change in the bios just the date and version number? and to what?
@SoniX
Yes, RAIDXpert2 F10 and F50 have one different byte inside PE32+, but they also have different DXE dependencies. Here is a package for inspection. There is something weird about RAIDXpert2-F50 6.1.2-00005, because it only has the version bumped. So 6.1.1-00076 is the proper last version I could find.

Checking work UBU on BIOSes from Asus, found a version of the GOP 1.28.0.0.0. Had to fix DrvVer.
Added:
For RAIDXpert2-F50, in UBU have to use version 6.1.2.00005, as it is in many BIOSes.

Does CPU MicroCode add anything significant, like overclocking improvement? I used the latest UBU 1.7.0 on my ASUS P8Z77-V Pro (BIOS 2104). Am I likely to receive any benefits from future UBU updates? I don’t use RAID (only AHCI), ASMedia SATA and USB, onboard WiFi and sound, Network stacks, iGP, etc. My motherboard is now considered old, so is there any point in updating OROM’s for it? They don’t improve overclock stability, do they?
generally improvements to how the cpu functions! but alot of times it is a update for a specific group of cpu’s on a given platform. so say you have a socket 775, and they update the microcode. And you are running a quad-core. the update may only effect the dual-cores, and not the quads. or only the core 2 dou series but non of the celeron series. it all depends. it’s not even a 50/50 chance any updates will even apply to the cpu you have installed. But when it is! It’s a good idea to update it, As it updates the CPU itself. This bios is just the delivery system. usually adding better fan ramp timings, and cache management. it will never be a huge difference. But something is always better than nothing. And yes it very well can improve overclocking stability, or make it worse. as the setting you used might have worked ok, great or somewhat before the update. And then not at all or not as good. Better generally improvement. you only see problems really on really crap budget boards from companies you have never heard of. or ones with really bad reps.
with it being an old board now as you say it can’t hurt. I still check the intel site to download the latest microcode updates and patch them to the latest bios for my mobo. I hate waiting on manufacturers to get around to it.
@ SoniX:
Thank you very much for having published the final version 1.8.0 of the UBU tool, which supports Intel and AMD chipset desktop systems.
Meanwhile I have customized the start post of this thread.
Side note: You can now delete the notice "For only Intel chipsets" at the RGhost site.
