If you do not use the Intel iGPU, the update does not need anything.
You do not need to use the version 1.24_ILT.

I actually have the Intel iGPU and am planning to use it. In that case, should I still use Intel BMP? I remember that the UBU tool has already a vBIOS upgrade included, right? I’m not sure if this is just for series 6 chipsets and below.
Who would need to use the v1.24_ILT?
Yes.
On some motherboards it did not work without the correct settings.
Version UBU v1.24_ILT is no longer relevant. New versions of the Intel LAN OROM and EFI will be issued as a separate update for UBU.
If UBU says it was successful in updating the vROM of my iGPU (without using Intel BGP), does that mean I don’t need to use Intel BGP anymore?
What do you mean “Intel LAN OROM and EFI will be issued as a separate update for UBU”?
You first need to configure your OROM VBIOS using Intel BMP program, and then updating.
This is only for testers.
What do you mean I need to configure the OROM VBIOS first with the Intel BGP? Is there a guide for this?
Yes, >here< is a guide written by SoniX himself.
Why don’t you search yourself instead of bothering a busy man like SoniX with needless questions?
What is difference between:, LGA1150_BOOT_YES.ffs, LGA1150_BOOT_NO.ffs and LGA1150b.ffs ?
I have the Intel Core i7-5775C CPU on the Gigabyte Z97X Gaming 3 board.
LGA1150.ffs - only for Haswell 0306C3 - 1D
LGA1150_BOOT_NO.ffs and LGA1150_BOOT_YES.ffs - with MPDT
LGA1150b.ffs - only for Broadwell 040671 - 10
LGA1150b_BOOT_NO.ffs and LGA1150b_BOOT_YES.ffs - with MPDT
I did see that guide. I just still don’t understand why we would need to use Intel BGP if in UBU it says it can update the vOROM of my ASUS P8Z68-V/GEN3 BIOS. Intel BGP is a new section added to updating the vOROM that was not there a few months ago, hence the confusion.

According to my knowledge v1.28 has not yet been released by SoniX.
@ laki007 and @ 100PIER:
I have moved your posts into this UBU discussion thread, because the other UBU thread is reserved just for SoniX, when he announces a new UBU version.
For the interest, compare the mod OROM VBIOS 2170 version of your motherboard and on ASRock Z77 Pro4. They will be different. Since each motherboard used individual settings VBIOS.
While there is nothing interesting for release a new version.
I would assume that there are really differences. But for my specific board, is the update to vBIOS 2170 using your tool enough? Or should I still use Intel BGP BMP?
EDIT by Fernando: Unneeded quoted text removed (to save space) and the name of the Intel tool corrected
SoniX has replied 3 times already to that exact question. For the 4th time, you need to use BMP tool. Yes, you must use it. Yes, UBU is not enough.
@ kevindd992002
Here, I made you VBIOS v2170 for your motherboard Asius P8Z68-V/GEN3. Now you can use the ready file VBIOS only for this motherboard in UBU.
@Sonix
Thanks for the help. I replied to that thread though because I’m using main BIOS 9903.
@plutomaniac
Again, sorry for the noise that I’m causing here.
@SoniX
You may find some new CherryView (Braswell, Cherry Trail) stuff in the attached file. Maybe older but not in your storage. I’m saying this because for some weird reason Microsoft downgraded the TXE from 2.0.0.2060 to (the oldest I’ve seen) version of 2.0.0.1045. I don’t know what they are doing really. Still the rare firmware is always a good thing for the repository and research purposes.
Also, are you interested in some old Intel vBIOS packages (BMP2.67e, VBT, vBIOS, GOP, BSF etc) I have found? One Haswell and two Cantiga or similar. They should be fairly useless, unless you want to add the early HSW vBIOS at the repository which is currently not there (HSW 2155).

@plutomaniac
Strange. I have rarely met a downgrade, unless it is beta testing.
By the way, in some forums, people puzzled installing processors 5th generation Broadwell on motherboard with the 8th chipset.
I have a 2155, 2160, 2164 and 2166 for Haswell, but all of them without scripts BSF. If you have that something interesting, then send. Always something useful.
I don’t think so. This firmware is at the official updates for Surface 3 (cherry trail cpu). Maybe a mistake. Are the other roms older as well?
Broadwell on 8-series? Mmm, I don’t know. It shouldn’t work according to Intel. Maybe someone will try it and find success, I don’t know.
Yes, 2155 has everything like BSF, VBT, GOP etc so I sent it. The filenames alone might help to hunt down any other such packages as well (like I do for Engine firmware), who knows.
