Would Appreciate help
@MitchGaming - Please do the following - Please upload the file to tinyupload.com or uploadfiles.io
Check BIOS main page and see if ME FW version is shown, if not then download HWINFO64
Then on the large window on left side, expand motherboard and find ME area, inside that get the ME Firmware version.
Once you have that, go to this thread and in the section “C.2” download the matching ME System Tools Package
(ie if ME FW version = 10.x get V10 package, if 9.0-9.1 get V9.1 package, if 9.5 or above get V9.5 package etc)
Intel Management Engine: Drivers, Firmware & System Tools
Once downloaded, inside you will find Flash Programming Tool folder, and inside that a Windows or Win/Win32 folder.
Select that Win folder, hold shift and press right click, choose open command window here (Not power shell).
At the command prompt type the following command and send me the created file to modify >> FPTw.exe -bios -d biosreg.bin
Right after you do that, try to write back the BIOS Region dump and see if you get any error >> FPTw.exe -bios -f biosreg.bin
If you do get error, show me image of the command entered and the error given
^^ This is important step, don’t forget ^^
If you are stuck on Win10 and cannot easily get command prompt, and method I mentioned above does not work for you, here is some links that should help
Or, copy all contents from the Flash Programming Tool \ DOS folder to the root of a USB Bootable disk and do the dump from DOS (FPT.exe -bios -d biosreg.bin)

Or here is simply registry edit that adds “Open command window here as Administrator” to the right click menu
Double-click to install, reboot after install may be required

@Lost_N_BIOS I Have Done This but got stuck at a error on CMD when using command "fptw64.exe -bios -d biosreg.bin"
Error 7: Hardware sequencing failed. Make sure that you have access to target flash area!
and when i do the command "fptw64.exe -bios -f biosreg.bin it gives me this error
Error 280: Failed to disable write protection for the BIOS space!
No one said to use FPTw64. Please be careful and do only and exactly as I mentioned. Error is expected at step #2, if it’s still 280 when you do it as I mentioned OK, let me know then
If you continue to get error at step one, show me image of entire CMD window so I can see title bar and what you typed/error etc.
@Lost_N_BIOS for intel ME it had win32 and win 64, and I have win64 that’s why it is fptw64.exe
Maybe I have the wrong version, ME version is 9.5.
BY the way I tried win 32 as well and same Results
I understand your thinking, but please do only and exactly as I mentioned. Show me image of window now as I asked, doing step #1 with FPTw not x64
If you have ME FW version 9.5 then you need to use ME System tools package 9.5 from section “C.2” in this thread
Intel Management Engine: Drivers, Firmware & System Tools
i am confused i tried the win32 of ME and it didnt work but after a reboot it seems to be working?

@MitchGaming - Maybe some issue with something you did before and you needed to reboot? So, we have step #1, and step #2, still error 280?
@Lost_N_BIOS
i attached a link for the dump, and no errors
http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?fil…775847719097459
Yes, I see it above in post #7?? Please see my question at post #8
Error Is Gone
Success: http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?fil…195463358283692
Are you sure, no error on FPT BIOS region write back (Step #2 in spoiler)? Error 280 or 368 is expected, sometimes you get lucky though but I doubt it since you already mentioned 280
What is new link above?
If u want we can go teamviewer and can verify everything?
and if your still unsure you can do it from teamviewer
No, no need for any of that. You still did not do step #2 now, your image above is step #1 only.
Ok Will Do that now
@Lost_N_BIOS The Error Is still present in step 2

Thanks for confirmation, this is as expected
Here, please follow this guide, starting at step #6 because I will give you info from 1-5 below
[GUIDE] Grub Fix Intel FPT Error 280 or 368 - BIOS Lock Asus/Other Mod BIOS Flash
Rename .efi file to >> Shellx64.efi
SMI Lock variable to change >> 0xAA
BIOS Lock variable to change >> 0xAB
So, at grub prompt you will type the following (Case sensitive), one line at a time, enter between each >>
setup_var 0xAA 0x0
setup_var 0xAB 0x0
Then reboot to OS, make a new BIOS region dump with FPT Step #1 (move or delete previous), then do step #2 again and error should be gone. Once confirm there is no error at step 2 and you see green success, send me that new BIOS region dump
@Lost_N_BIOS Can you please do this on teamviewer for me, i am unsure on what i am doing
Its very confusing for a noob like me lol
No, I can’t do that, you have to reboot to not in operating system anyway so something like that is not possible. It’s easy, just follow guide and you will get it figure out You can do it!
@Lost_N_BIOS I am following the guide and i am up to step 2 but i am having trouble with it
it says to extract PE32 image section as is and i did that but when i use universal IFR it says unknown, but with the guid with a bunch of 0000000’s it says uefi
