If you mean the Haswell VBIOS 2179 then look into the file in the video bios archive named āTable VBT OROM VBIOS Version and Size.docxā. You can even manually change to the Haswell/Broadwell VideoBios 1040 by copying the settings by hand with two BMP windows open, one for 2179 and one for 1040. Iāve done this on a Haswell Laptop and it works fine now with VideoBios 1040.
on step 5. i try to use bsf file of 1040 instead, cuz i couldnāt find the folder contains bsf & dat file of 2179. onto step 10, when i apply transfer.ssf which is created on step 5 . it shows warning in BMP. if i hit "Yes", it just crush. any ideas?

You quoted my post but maybe did not understand it? Maybe then it is at the moment not the right time to start changing the Video Bios. You can put your Intel graphics hardware out of order.
Again: It is written in the file "Table VBT OROM VBIOS Version and Size.docx" when you have the Video Bios Version 2179 which Video Bios Version bsf file to use. I could write the number but you should read it yourself to understand the modding procedure. If you would go to Video Bios Version "2180 out of this two files a ssf file can be generated to apply automatically the settings from Video Bios 2179 to the Video Bios Version 2180.
Next I wrote that the settings from 2179 to 1040 need to be copied by hand. Does it mean that you use an automatic ssf settings file or not?

this is the new different table TABLE $IVM_Toggle_List1 01 09 08 02 05 04 0C 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
i tried to update my table and now it is TABLE $IVM_Toggle_List1 01 08 02 04 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
i removed all the Reserved bits(or whatever they are), always 0 i removed the second bit in any line (left to right in ssf or right to left in intel BMP), always 00
my second table is TABLE $IVM_Toggle_List2 01 40 00 01 80 00 04 01 00 04 08 00 04 40 00 04 02 00 08 01 00 08 04 00
the new table is TABLE $IVM_Toggle_List2 01 09 08 02 05 04 0C 00
i successfully created a new config for my vbios and flashed the bios now my version is 2170
this should be writtend in the vbios transfer guide: if your current vbios uses an old display alghorithm, DON T update your algorithm and the toggle lists!(this may be wrong in some rare cases) about new features not present in your current old vbios, disable THEM ALL and use the bsf file as guide, they will probably disappear when you ācompileā the new config because your chipset does not support them. If they do not disappear, this means they could work but not with your specific display/OEM setup, so just disable them. about old features removed in the new update, seems fine to let them go, because they are moved to a new location with a new name or they are removed to fix issues
EDIT by Fernando: Unneeded blank lines removed (to save space)
@kyl : Since you referred within your last post about the topic "vbios update" to this thread, I have merged both threads and moved your 2 posts here. This way SoniX as the author of the VBIOS transfer guide has a better chance to find your contributions and - if applicable - to customize the text of his guide.
This is the original vbios. I open it with BMP and the skl_1033.bsf file. Then save all to transfer.ssf file wich is larger than 30kb. Why? I updated the bios even this file is larger and no problem.
The file is from the bios 1601, asus maximus hero VIII. Thanks for your attention.
@ jlmcr87 If the transfer settings were not error messages, and it works without problems, then all is well. 30 KB limit is not, there is an exception when the the settings file has reached the size of 70 KB.
