Inserted via UBU the 65 Microcode in my Asus Omega 0802 BIOS for my 50654 7980xe and my OS’s (both Linux and Windows) won’t load after bios POST.

Inserted via UBU the 65 Microcode for my 50654 7980xe Asus Rampage VI Extrerme 2002 BIOS, and I get a post error too and my OS’s won’t load either !

Had to go back to 64 for now !

Intel staffs inform me that 02000065 microcode was mainly testing something period or
BETA microcode for their internal test only. Please kindly use 02000064 Date 2019-07-31 in stead it’s was lastest stable microcode for all Skylake X/W/SP/D SKUs.

Intel microcodes have a Production-ready flag (PRD/PRE) to differentiate stable from beta/testing/ES/QS etc. It’s their duty to set this flag whenever they test something to avoid such issues. This project operates at the “bleeding edge” of microcode releases without any changelogs, notices etc so yeah, such things can happen from time to time, especially when Intel neglects setting the PRE flag.

Sorry for Offtopic: I’ve inserted the v2000065 microcode into MSI X299 SLI Plus bios 1F using UBU 1.75.3.1, and haven’t noticed any problems in day-to-day usage with my i7-7800X. Booting, posting and general performance is fine as before.

Maybe it has to do with Asus bios for example. Other brands are integrating it too in their downloadable bios.
