Intel RST EFI RAID/VMD BIOS Modules

I always recommend to take the latest available Intel RAID BIOS module version of a specific development branch (e.g. RST v15.5 or RST v16.0).
Regarding the best possible Intel RAID driver version for your system you should find it out yourself, because each system and the user’s preferences are different.

Hello!

Which version of intel efi "raiddriver" and interl rste is needed to get the maximum performance in raid mode?

chipset x79;
raid0 of two ssd;

The version of the Intel RAID BIOS modules (EFI “RaidDriver” or RAID OROM) has an impact on the boot time and the initialization of the Intel SATA RAID Controller, but only a very limited impact on the performance of the disk drives, which are running in RAID mode.
If you want to get the best possible Intel RAID performance, you should choose the best performant Intel RAID driver for your specific system (look >here<) and put an Intel RaidDriver version, which matches the best the desired driver, into the BIOS (the in-use Intel RAID driver and BIOS module should belong to the same development branch).

As I’m understand it for the x79 chipset, I’m need to take the OPOMIntel RST (e) RAID ROM v13.1.0.2126 and the RAID driver: Intel RST (e) v13.1.0.1058.
Do I’m need an Intel RSTe EFI RaidDriver, and if I’m need some version?

No, you don’t need an Intel RSTe EFI RaidDriver, because you will get the best performance, if you run your Intel RAID Controller in RST mode (DeviceID: DEV_2822).

The Intel RSTe EFI “RaidDriver” is not needed if I’m use the UEFI mode ?

As long as you have set the Intel SATA Controller to “RST mode” within the BIOS, no RSTe BIOS module will be used.

If I’m understand correctly in BIOS mode UEFI, can set the mode of the RST or RSTe controller. And what are the differences between the RST and the RSTe ?

As long as no v17 platform Intel RST RAID drivers are available, I do not recommend to insert any v17 platform RaidDriver into the BIOS.
