Intel CFL/CML GOP 9.0.1091 & 1092

gop.zip (74.6 KB)

@all:
Update of the start post
Changelog:

  • new: “pure” Intel EFI “GopDriver” v9.0.1092 for Cfl and Cml iGPUs (without header)

Note: Thanks to Pacman for the source file.

Guys, what is CML?

Comet Lake, successor to Coffee Lake, yet another 14nm release from Intel before ICL is ready for desktop. It is not released yet.

I get it. The fact is that versions 109x have some differences in the Device ID with version 2001. Which is a bit confusing.

That weird 2001 version could have been for testing. Or maybe another platform we’re not aware of.

@SoniX @plutomaniac
To avoid any problems I have removed this “weird” Intel GopDriver v9.0.2001 from the start post.
Until now I haven’t seen any feedback from a user, who had tested it.

GOP v9.0.2001 seems to be working fine on an ASUS FX504GD Laptop with an Intel i7 8750H. uefi boots in non csm mode and lists correct gop version. GOP version also listed in the Intel graphics control panel.
edit still might be a good idea for other people to test if I’m the only one to try it so far

Pacman had tested it here and it does work. But so does 1092 for example. The DEV_ID differences could point to some (unreleased?) platform if searched online. Alas I would agree that 10xx work just fine for current platforms and are probably newer than the 2xxx release.

@ALL

Friends! A very big request to everyone.
If you come across the Intel GOP driver version 9.0.1081, please publish this file.
Thank.

@SoniX :
According to my Google Search results an Intel GopDriver v9.0.1081 has never been released by Intel.

@Fernando

This version was released, but for a short time. It is very likely that it can not be found. But anything is possible…

Just a report, ASUS FX504GD Laptop with an Intel i7 8750H and a GTX 1050 (HM370 Chipset, Coffee Lake CPU, UHD 630) Bios 317 stock with GOP 9.0.1075 , Intel vbios 1009.
GOP 9.0.1080, 9.0.1086 and 9.0.2001 work without issue. GOP 9.0.1090, 9.0.1091 and 9.0.1092 cause the display to be upside down (rotated 180 degrees) in UEFI and during splash screens, in Windows the display appears normal.

@clackersx
Thank you so much for the tests.

Now we can say for sure that the VBT and PEIM do not play any role in the work of the GOP.

Here is what is written for the release of GOP 1082:

In general, old BIOSes (for 100/200 series chipset) do not support the new GOP 1082+.

@Fernando

Hello Fernando! I’ve integrated the “pure” Intel RST EFI “RaidDriver” v17.5.3.4203 (without header) into latest ASRock Z170 OC Formula’s BIOS and it works as expected with my RAID 0 of Samsung 850 Pro.

Cheers,

KK
