If I were you, I wouldn’t install any modded driver onto an Intel Z77 system.
The latest Intel RST driver version, which natively supports Intel 7-Series Chipsets, is v13.1.0.1058 WHQL.
Oh, OK - thats great. I didnt see that. But isn’t it just for Win7 or 8.1? Its not for Win10, or am I wrong? Is it safe to use them with win10?
All Intel RST drivers are running fine with Win10.
Thanks!
Danke fernado sir
@ Sir ,RSTE Intel Leistung ist besser oder nicht , im Vergleich zu alten Klassiker driver oder nicht.

Can I please use your extracted intel chipset for my unofficial chipset driver pack please and also can i please post it on driverpack forum.
Not generally, it depends on the age of the Intel Chipset system and the SATA mode (AHCI/RAID). You can fnd the benchmark differences >here<.
You can use everything you have found within this Forum, but you should mention where you got the source files/package.
Is it possible to mod the Intel RSTe drivers (v4.3) because they are the only drivers newer than RST 13/14 series without that annoying APM problem using Samsung F3 HDDs?
Yes, it is possible to mod them, but I should know, which Intel SATA Conrtrollers should be supported by them.

In my case it’s Intel SATA AHCI Controller DEV_1C02 or Intel Desktop/Workstation/Server Express Chipset SATA RAID Controller DEV_2822
Excelent information. Thanks
Hello Fernando,
It’s been quite a while since I updated drivers on my system (currently running 14.0.0.1095). Is the certificate installation required on system that is not running raid (just AHCI)?
By the way, the RST(e) drivers have been rock solid on current system below, even though the motherboard/controller is a bit dated.
Thanks, and please keep up the excellent work!
The import of the Digital Signature Certificate is only required once (unless you are doing a fresh OS installation), but you have to install a mod+signed driver variant, if you want to run any Intel RST AHCI driver of the v12, v13 or v14 series.

I assume the certificate import is first, then installation of new drivers.
Thanks for the reply!
Hi, I have ASUS P5KC rev 1.03G with Jmicron extra controller. BIOS version is 02.58.
I would like to enable AHCI (in order to use an SSD) and read there’s a lot of people who flashed a modded BIOS for that. I have been browsing around but I am not sure I should flash p5kc-1203_slic-ahci_v2.rom or another one.
Can you give me a hint?
Thanks a lot!
@ MarcoPau:
Welcome at Win-RAID Forum!
Where did you read that?
What has your request to do with the topic of this thread?
Which AHCI Controller do you want to enable (the Intel or the JMicron one)?
If it should be the on-board Intel SATA Controller, I recommend to check, whether the latest BIOS for your mainboard contains the latest Intel AHCI ROM v1.20E. If not, I recommend to update the related Intel AHCI ROM.
Regards
Dieter (alias Fernando)
Hi Dieter, thanks for your answer.
I read about the modded BIOS googleing around in various sites. There’s many people that mentions that.
Anyhow, I am sorry if I am in the wrong thread, I thought it was related to this mobo’s BIOS. I was just keeping on googleing about P5KC AHCI and bumped into your forum.
I would like to enable the Intel SATA controller with AHCI. It was supposedly available in the very first version of the BIOS but then ASUS seems like they disabled it. By the way, as I said there should be some modding of the more recent versions around which enables AHCI. I am not familiar with flashing BIOS’s, that’s why I wanna make sure I am picking the right BIOS and tools for the flashing.
Cheers.
@ MarcoPau:
Your ASUS P5KC has an Intel ICH9 Southbridge (without an “R” behind the “9”) and the latest BIOS 1105 doesn’t contain any Intel AHCI ROM.
Question: Does your mainboard BIOS offer the ability to enable “AHCI”?
If no, I cannot help you. If yes, I recommend to use the “Universal Intel RST AHCI RAID driver v11.2.0.1006 mod+signed by me”.
