[OFFER] ASUS P8Z77-V Series BIOSes modded with latest modules

@Lost_N_Bios Yes i used flashback to flash it.
I used #77 bios to recover the system.
Then i tried the latest mod but this one is not being flashed at all. Flashback reads and stops immediately.

@bfc_xxx - Hmmm! Thanks for info. Sorry about this! I will redo again tonight, I think I know the problem

* edit - @bfc_xxx - Please check, this one orom only first, so we can see if that is the issue or the EFI module, since I always do this one first

Hi!! @Lost_N_BIOS this test bios is flashed by flashback and is working.

edit: forgot to say that I see now that my raid controller is v13.1.0.2126

Something weird I noticed these days and maybe will help others. I have my controller set to RAID. When I flashback the bios, my controller reverts to AHCI and boots normally (the boot disk in just a single drive). When I set again to RAID, windows do not boot and give me a BSOD. What I do to fix this, I leave the controller to AHCI, boot windows, uninstall RST drivers, set to reboot to safe mode minimal with msconfig, restart, go into bios and change to RAID, let windows to boot safe mode and set to boot normally with msconfig, restart. And then windows boot normally with controller set to RAID and install again RST.

I didnā€™t noticed this in the beggining and my RAID 1 broke because 1st disk changed too much.

@bfc_xxx - Thanks, this means the EFI Replacement is what was causing the issue. I will make you another to flash next which is one above + EFI replaced different way.

Sounds like you need to make this registry edit
Enable switching between all IDE/AHCI/RAID modes by changing ā€œStartā€ Values in these keys to 0 in the registry
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Msahci\Start
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Pciide\Start
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\iaStorV\Start

How I would do BIOS reflash if I was running your setup, would be flash BIOS, boot to BIOS, load optimized defaults save and exit, reboot back to BIOS, enable RAID, save and exit, reboot back to BIOS and move my main non-RAID drive to the first in the hard disk boot priority list

Here, please test both if you donā€™t mind, let me know if both bootable, or one fails etc

Once you confirm which is OK, I will repack info properly named folder for others to download.

@Lost_N_BIOS Both bios are flashed with flashback and both are bootable. I have now the one in folder 507.

As for the registry the values are as you mention but it doesnā€™t really matter. I just set to boot in safe mode before flashing and then itā€™s working fine.

@Lost_N_BIOS

Sorry I havenā€™t replied for ages, Iā€™ve been learning how to use UBU updating the CPU microcode and viewing the different updated modules on few different modified P8Z77-V Pro biosā€™ floating around the net including yours.

I noticed every couple of months with a modified bios on the Asus P8Z77-V Pro, my PC would Boot to a Black Screen and not POST after a Reboot. The SSD (including different brands) would Security Lock (Freeze Lock) after the Power Reset.

For the SSD to be recognised again and POST on the Asus P8Z77-V Pro, I would have to install the Locked SSD into a different PC, boot into Linux and do Password Unlock and Secure Erase.

I was wondering if anyone has had issues with SSDā€™s Security Locking when using a Modified Bios with updated Disk Controller Modules for the Intel RST SATA EFI & OROMā€™S above stock version 11.x.x.xxxx on the Asus P8Z77-V Pro running with Windows 10.

Iā€™ve tried

danielstuart14ā€™s bios with Intel EFI & OROM 14.5.0.2241. - Problem Multiple Times

BOLTS4BREKFAST (R4E BIOS 4804 MODDED EFI) with Intel EFI & OROM 15.1.0.2545 - Problem Multiple Times

Asus-P8Z77-V-PRO-2104-NVME-Mod+uCodeUPD bios with Intel EFI & OROM 14.5.0.2241 - Problem Happened Once

Itā€™s weird because I used 2 Different Asus P8Z77-V Proā€™s, Different SSDā€™s and the SSD Security Lock will still randomly happen when using a Modified Bios.

Boot settings - CSM enabled & Secure Boot OS Type Other OS

@bfc_xxx - Thanks for report back, good to hear both are OK now! I will remove all previous links so thereā€™s no confusion for users trying to find working BIOS later, and here is final (507) repackaged updated BIOS

@hiska - Sorry, Iā€™ve never heard of this issue, nor seen anyone but you report about it. Maybe something you are doing?? Or maybe due to some instability causing a glitch and then it fails like that?
Or, possibly a problem with V14 roms and this BIOS, that does seem like a very high version to be using on such an older chipset.

I have P8z77v Pro too. First I tried nvme adapter + disk without flash bios as another (nonsystem) disk.
Windows 7 will display the drive as a PCI device until the update for windows 7 is installed. After that Windows shows disk name in device tree.

Newer windows probably can use immediately.
Adaper worked in my lower (black) and middle pcie slots (white) . (I didnā€™t deal with speed)

BIOS from page 2 post 16 works well. I use Windows EZ Flash and replace bios file under the EZ flash running.

Thank you very match.

I tried to modify the bios myself. I use Asus SLIC bios / because of Win7 activation / but I lost a modified CAP file.
I used Universal BIOS Backup ToolKit 2.0 to download the bios to slic.ROM
In MM_tool I modified it slic.rom to slicnvme.rom but it is wrong or EZ flash did not flash.

Please can you check if I modified the bios well (Asus P8z77v Pro 2104) ?.

http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?filā€¦223669677299200

Or advise how to convert rom to capsule bios?

Could you please modify the BIOS for p8z77 in the 2104 so as is on page 6 post 77? Except CPU microcode /
I donā€™t want slowdown/ with Asus Slic

Thank you !
Sorry for my english.

  1. Is there a way to verify that the flashing process was successful on my P8Z77-V DELUXE?
In my case itā€™s not showing my customized splash-screen anymore, but in case itā€™s the default one I donā€™t know a way to figure out if itā€™s been modified or not?

    2. Also, is there a way to patch out the god mode mentioned in this video?

    3. Can you explain how you got to this table?
Zitat von Lost_N_BIOS im Beitrag #69
Thanks, that is plenty of info as long as you are sure.
BIOS already has EFI RST 11.5.0.1582 and there is no 11.5.0.1582 orom, youā€™ll need to pick some other version from this page - AHCI & RAID ROM Modules
    Either 11.2 or a newer 11.x RSTe

Hi, I apologize for not knowing where to post my question. I have a P8Z77-I DELUXE (mini itx) with American Megatrends Inc. Bios version 1201.
Would this p8z77-v modified bios work with my board? I currently have a pair of SS830 ssd in raid 0 as boot drive.

I am searching for a modified Bios that would enable bios support for booting from my Samsung 970 Evo M.2 PCIE NVME
I am using a nice PCIe NVMe M-2 adapter card (with heatsink runs 37c) in the only v3.x16 video slot. Windows drive manager sees the drive in W7 (bios doesnā€™t) after installing samsung drivers, and it hits fast advertised speeds as a scratch drive, but I will need a bios mod, to boot from current cloned W7 installation, or install a new W10 onto it.

Is there a reliable already modified AMI bios available that would allow me to boot from the NVMe? Can somebody please point me in the right direction?

This MB seems like it was built with fancy ā€œEASYā€ flashing and reflashing and overclocking features, (asus back in 2012) but all of that is wasted on me. I am clueless.
I am hoping i can figure out how to flash it without bricking it. I have no ability to make the modifications without an entire crash course, so hoping one of you experienced folks will be kind enough to help.
Thanks for advise on where to ask or look ā€“ cheers

Hi Lost_N_Bios,

I can gladly report that the NVME ssd is working now, system found the SSD as bootable manager device when installing windows with the USB.
For some reason I was only able to use it in the black slot. This may be caused however by the adapter itselve.
Thanks for all your help.

I tried to load the BIOS for a P8Z77-V Pro from # 122. But that is not online. Could someone please upload it again? Thank you.

Hello Lostnbios. I have used parts of your Asus-Z77-V-Pro bios to edit my own bios. It works very well.
I have fixed everything the way I like it. But one thing not work.

I canā€™t adjust multipler in Windows. I have tried using every version of Intel XTU there is. I think itā€™s maybe because of CPU code (I use latest!) or ME firmware (I use latest). (Windows 10 latest everythingā€¦)
Is there a simple way to fix this without downgrading to far on those? I use Sandybridge 2600k.

Thank you for good work  P.S If someone ask what hex to edit for getting chassi duty cycle and lower temp limit under 20 just ask. Or if someone here needs itā€¦ PM meā€¦

Hi there I hope you can help, would this also work on the p8z77-v deluxe
to get my recently bought samsung 970 plus nvme drive to work?

thanks

Ive also downloaded the modded 2104, itā€™s saved as a .cap

Do I just stick this on a usb drive and do usb flashback. I donā€™t need anymore tools, as the files already created?

This is how I do it:
download AFUWIN 3.05
then put last bios from Asus in that directory and name is stock.cap
next: put your modded bios file in the same directory and name it flash.rom

open a cmd admin prompt navigate to directory and first flash stock cap.
AFUWINx64.exe stock.cap

when itā€™s done you flash your flash.rom
AFUWINx64.exe flash.rom /GAN

/GAN is a workaround that works for modded bioses.

If you found a simpler way that takes same amount of time please tell me.

@mrtnsko - sounds like a ME FW issue, and you mentioned updating that. How did you update it, and with what file?
@kadees - Thanks for report, adding new link now New link added at post #122

I believe u need to have a very old version of ME FW and Driverā€¦ Is it worth it? Security/Performance?
Also windows always wants to upgrade the Driver I believeā€¦ Do you know more, please tellā€¦

@Lost_N_BIOS I would like the P8Z77-V PRO - NVME + Microcode updates to latest please and thank you. Im getting unstable game frames and a lower cpu clock of 100mhz, I think it might be because of it being outdated?

I also try the link youā€™ve given to us but still not working maybe your link has been expired or my PC cannot accept that kind of link. thus i decided to delete some of my favorite games called subway surfers game and challenge of gacha life and other of my programs files but still not working sir.
