@Kbird : Oooops… Obviously I have missed your post and the Plextool update to v1.2 dated 03/30/2016. I am sorry about that. Thanks for having reminded me! Luckily we are now already an update ahead.
@100PIER : Thank you for the info. Unfortunately I don’t have the required time to keep all my start posts up-to-date at any time. Since there are meanwhile too many different SSD manufacturers with a big variety of SSD Tools and frequently offered updates, I am going to simplify the start post of this thread drastically by posting just the links to the related manufacturer without mentioning the latest version and its specific features. If you or anyone else would be willing to overtake the support of this thread and to keep the currently detailed informations for all SSD Tools up-to-date, please let me know it.
@Fernando , Yes, it is a good idea to simplify the start post and provide only the link to the related manufacturers. Yes, there now a lot of SSD manufacturers offering now their proprietary SSD Tools. I think the reader has to go to the link of his favorite SSD manufacturer where he can get all up to date detailed informations. Of course, if I find a new useful link I"ll be happy to inform you.
@Fernando , I am very surprise this Intel SSD Tool v3.4.0 is buggy !! Looking at the screenshot: Intel SSD Tool detects a RAID member (Samsung 850 PRO 1 TB) as an Intel 750 1TB device (which does not exist) !!!
Yes, it installed over the 4.9.7-version , its very small program now . I decided to uninstall competely , coz its not really an improvement ! If you have lots of RAM ( 32GB) and on Win10 ,you just dont need it , did not encounter less speed etc. after uninstall . Positive is less services starting up and less tasks starting up , I wil test next days , but I think Im sure ; you dont need it , coz its not a real improvement for your system !! Besides, Windows knows perfect how to handle SSD…
@Pete12 Yes, I agree with you, I don’t wait wait for miracle from Magician, it is only to check some informations and not to have this tool installed permanently.
You succeed to install over v4.9.7, but did you succeed to install from scratch as I had tried ? If we need the previous version to be present to install v5.0 this is not a good point !
You can install from scratch also , I will not use it anymore , im gaining more speed by losing services and tasks ( from Samsung Magician ) , while this "Rapid Mode" does not give you any profit at all ! Maybe later , after real progressive update, will try again .
@Pete12 , I also have now uninstalled definitively this version because i get “some errors” message when I try to start Magician v5.0. On my Sabertoothx99 v4.9.7 works fine, (but I don’t need it). V5.0 from scratch does not install properly. V5.0 installed over v4.9.7 does install but does not launch. My hope was to get a better version with V5.0… I wait for a next release !
I totally agree with you and avoid the installation of Samsung’s Magician since several years. This tool gave me just troubles (inclusive BSODs), but no benefit.
