[Outdated] USB 3.0/3.1 Drivers (original and modded)

@Fernando

Do the latest Intel v5.0.4.43 WHQL drivers for Win7 also support USB 3.0 Controller DeviceIDs 8CAD and 8CA6 (in 9 Series chipsets)? These are not listed as natively supported in your post.

@kyriacos :
No, these DeviceIDs are not supported by the latest Intel USB 3.0/3.1 drivers.

@Fernando

What are the latest drivers supporting these DeviceIDs? In your post I see no such drivers listed. Latest drivers from motherboard manufacturer are v3.0.4.65 and dated February 2015.

@kyriacos :
AFAIK there are no newer Intel USB 3.0/3.1 drivers, which do support your mentioned Intel USB Controllers DeviceIDs.

So you should try them.

@Fernando

The manufacturer of the motherboard has stopped supporting it a long time ago and is no longer releasing drivers. However, new drivers for some components such as audio and network continue to be released by their original manufacturer. I know that this might not be the case for USB, still I would not be surprised if I find newer drivers from a different motherboard manufacturer.

If you should find them, please let us know it.

Drivers v3.0.4.65 i think not have DeviceIDs 8CAD and 8CA6. Try to update the drivers with latest Intel v5.0.4.43

@kyriacos :

You can try it, but have to force the installation by using the “Have Disk” option.

@john77

In Device Manager I see DeviceIDs 8CAD and 8CA6 and v3.0.4.65 are the drivers available from the manufacturer of the motherboard.

@Fernando

I did a quick search and I found that ASRock has Intel USB 3.0 drivers v4.0.4.51 available for download, but I have not tried them.

v3.0.4.65 have the folllow ids.

v5.0.4.43 include all this id & much more. try to update with the latest v5.0.4.43

@john77

I already tried to manually update the drivers by pointing to the folder I extracted them, but I get a message that the best driver software is already installed. I did not try to force the installation by using the "Have Disk" option.

@kyriacos

In device manager, 8CAD and 8CA6 what version drivers have?

@john77

I installed 5.0.4.43 and after restarting in Device Manager, Intel(R) USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller and Intel(R) USB 3.0 Root Hub are using 5.0.4.43, but Intel(R) 9 Series Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller - 8CAD and Intel(R) 9 Series Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller - 8CA6 are still using 6.1.7601.24138. There are also two entries for Generic USB Hub that are also using 6.1.7601.24138.

8CAD 8CA6 use the generic drivers of Windows (6.1.7601.24138). Try to install the intel chipset drivers of your motherboard to see if this 2 change. Your USB 3.0 Controller is ok now, have the latest drivers v5.0.4.43

@john77

No change after installing the Intel chipset drivers.

Maybee this 2 devices working with the generic drivers of Windows, thats why not updating.

@john77 @kyriacos
The Intel USB drivers are only usable for USB devices, which have been manufactured by Intel.
You can easily find out the manufacturer of the related device by checking its HardwareIDs (only VEN_8086 = Intel).

@Fernando

8CAD and 8CA6 are manufactured by Intel (both have VEN_8086 under Hardware Ids).

That is right, but Intel has obviously no interest in releasing drivers, which support the related DeviceIDs.

thanks,its can be download now. from xp up mean can be support all system? chinese english dont be laugh
