I installed the modded drivers for the controller and the hub
However the speeds remained the same for the usb 3 ports, I’m getting 8mb/s on the write

@Ranma :
Welcome at Win-RAID Forum!
Questions:
1. Which OS are you running?
2. What about the Intel "USB 3.0 Switch Driver"? Did you install this driver as well? If not, why?
3. According to posted Device Manager screenshot your system has an Intel USB 3.0 and an USB 3.1 Controller. Is this correct? If yes, why haven’t you installed the Intel driver for the USB 3.1 Controller as well?

Dieter (alias Fernando)
Hi
1. I’m running windows 10 - x64
2. Forgot to mention it, but yes I did install the switch driver
3. I’ve been trying to install the 3.1 drivers but I’m always promted with a message that says the “the folder does not contain a compatible software controller”. I’m downloading the 64bit version of it and using the have disk button
@Ranma :
If you want the best possible USB drive performance, you should use the Intel USB 3.1 ports.
Check the HardwareIDs of your on-board USB 3.1 Controller and compare them with the HardwareIDs, which are listed within the file named ausb3xhc.inf.
Hello!
Regarding the UBS Intel 3.0 Modded Drivers… As my P500 Workstation have only Intel USB 3.0 and 2.0 … so if im to use this modded 3.0 drivers, it should be okay for me to install using USB 2.0 ports? I’m afraid that i cant use USB 2.0 if i install the 3.0 modded drivers
@Fernando ,
seems new Texas Instruments USB 3.0 drivers released (W7 only):

Welcome at Win-RAID Forum!
I am afraid as well.
It is not easy to get any driver installed without being able to use an USB connected keyboard and mouse.
You will either need a non-Intel USB Controller or have to use temporarily PS/2 ports (if available at all).

Update of the Start Post
Changelog:
@Fernando ,
I use ASMEDIA USB 3.0/3.1 v1.16.35.1 WHQL driver dated on 11th April 2016 on my W10 x64 ASUS machines (ASM-104x/107x chipset and ASM 1242).

Update of the Start Post
Changelog:
Run the Device Manager, right click onto the "Intel(R) USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller", choose the options "Update Driver Software" > "Browse my computer…" > "Let me pick…", make sure, that the option "Show compatible hardware" is checked and click onto the listed device named "Intel(R) USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller 1.0 (Microsoft)" > "Next".
After the reboot you may have to restore the MS driver for the Intel USB 3.0 Hub and Switch devices the same way.
@AlTib :
Hello Alonso,
welcome at Win-RAID Forum!
I suspect, that Win8.1 lists its generic USB 3.0 Host Controller with a slightly other name than Win10. So you can choose the listed "USB xHCI Compliant Host Controller", if you want to return to the standard Win8.1 in-box MS USB 3.0 driver.

I have been trying to update my Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller-1.0[Microsoft] Driver Ver 10.0.10586.212 with the modded 64bit Intel USB 3.0 Drivers v4.0.5.55 and can not get them to work. After I update the controller driver and reboot there is no power at all to my mouse and keyboard. Any ideas on what to try…
Update:
I fixed it and got them to install-used a old Microsoft wired mouse and updated the controller and hub drivers.All is good…

@NIK1 :
Thanks for your (meanwhile updated) report.
It is always a good idea to read the start post completely, before starting with the work and posting about a problem.
Or you could use VNC and your phone/tablet like I do Just thought I would give people that little tip as they might not of thought of it.
EDIT by Fernando: Unneeded parts of the fully quoted text removed (to save space)

Thanks for your answer, how do I check the hardware ID on ausb3xhc.inf?
I found this "ClassGuid={36FC9E60-C465-11CF-8056-444553540000}" but dont know if that’s the one, nor what I should do with that info
Again, thank you
This is the related part, which contains the supported HardwareIDs:
[Intel.NTAMD64.6.1]
%IUsb3XhcDeviceDesc01% = IUsb3XhcModel, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_15B5
%IUsb3XhcDeviceDesc01% = IUsb3XhcModel, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_15B6
Ok so my USB 3.1 Controllers are these:
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_15B6&SUBSYS_11112222&REV_00
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_15B6&SUBSYS_11112222
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_15B6&CC_0C0330
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_15B6&CC_0C03
that means that they should be compatible, right?
Yes.
