[Request] Asus Strix X570-E Gaming Chipset Voltage Range

Hey,

i don’t even know if this is possible but i want to open the voltage range for the chipset voltage.

Bios: https://www.asus.com/de/Motherboards/ROG…/HelpDesk_BIOS/

In the Ai Tweaker are two voltages (1.0V and 1.2V SB Voltage) for Chipset. With both i can only go higher with the voltage but not lower as on the Crosshair models. Any help or tips are welcome

Wow, that is weird!
1.0 SB Voltage - Min 1.0 / Max 1.05
1.20 SB Voltage - Min 1.20 / Max 1.25

What is the point in letting users adjust these if you cannot adjust more than a tiny little bit
Especially the 1.0 voltage, since increments are limited to 0.05 you have only one possible adjustment there

Sorry, I can’t see any way to adjust those, even if we set max allowed to match DRAM (1.35), this one has max allowed set to same values FF FF, yet we know it’s not same limitation.

Link me to other model BIOS that allows lower and I’ll see if I can tell how to make same for your BIOS.

Yep that’s the point. It’s kinda useless if you can not really change them.

Other Bios: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/ROG-Cr…/HelpDesk_BIOS/

Here you can change the
1.0 SB - Min 0.70 / Max 1.60 (Extreme Tweaker)
1.2 SV - Min 0.80 / Max 1.60 (Extreme Tweaker -> Tweakers Paradise)

I have already tried to change hex values in the setup data (Bios 1409 bottom bios):

1.0V SB Voltage
Red: Max value
Blue: Min value
Green: Steps

After this change you can set in the bios 0.70V but it still gives out 1.0V. The second lowest step will give you 1.05V and the third step also still 1.05V. I guess there are some more changes in other modules necessary to make them work.

Probably in AMITSE PE32, but I’m not good enough at assembly to find where it’s located
Sadly, I am not even aware of how you find the above info/location with the other BIOS
So, I guess I cannot help here You know far more about this kind of editing than I do

I’ve been trying to enable PBS on first section of this BIOS all week, for the other CPU’s No Luck so far, I hate AMD BIOS
I was looking at your mod BIOS for a few days, thinking you enabled it for bottom section, but then after several days user told me it’s enabled/visible by default for the bottom section and that CPU family etc.

Oh i’m pretty sure that i don’t know more than you . I just search for logical connections. I’m completly lost in the AMITSE PE32.

I saw that other thread and also have learned some things. Still not really sure how they have unlocked the chipset menu now but i will find it out

Yes, I think you do know more than me, at least on some things for sure
I edit AMITSE PE32 all the time to do menu unlocks, but digging into it in assembly to look for or change something like you need here, if it’s even located in there, is above my skill-set

I unlocked chipset on the other thread, if you want me to show you how let me know
This is edit in AMITSE mainly, possibly AMITSE/SetupData edit too (if Access Level changed in the one that worked for him, I can’t remember and would have to check)

I was able to make the chipset menu visable with your help from the other thread. For me it was enough just to move the chipset from the main block list to the main list. I need more practice with AMITSE to see what else is possible.
But at least you were able to help me with the chipset. Thanks a lot

@ReousI - Nice you got it And you’re welcome!
Yes, it’s much easier to figure out what is required and what is not when you have board in hand Since I don’t have one, I had to send him many files to test until it was sorted out.

Here is little guide I wrote for Aptio V AMITSE menu editing, this covers some of what majority of Aptio V BIOS use, but some BIOS have other block areas, or other visible lists, or more less lists than this shows etc.
So you always need to at least look for known visible and hidden menu short ID’s, and then look over each location and see if it looks like a blocked area (Some BIOS have 2-4 blocked short ID’s in a type of area not shown in this guide or in the other thread for this board that we discussed this kind of info about.
See spoiler/advanced edit method (does not cover all possible Aptio V “things”)

Hi @Lost_N_BIOS

I have been away, but I’m back at home now, I will reply in my thread soon.
I believe he is looking to under volt chipset voltage look >here< for the findings from The Professor, as I understood C8H can set voltages lower by default but for Strix the minimum is 1.0v and 1.2v (0x00).

Be well…
