This motherboard comes exactly with Intel® I225-V. No internet is dealbreaker, unfortunately. Thanks for letting me know this, you are saving me hours of installation time.
I am thinking what can be done. The motherboard has wifi too, Intel® Wi-Fi 6 AX200, but that looks again Win10 only. Add-in-card? It has only one pcie slot for GPU. Hmm, unfortunately i did not think i can run into such a problem.
@Atom_Ant Yeah, surprise surprise. Antoher idea from mine would be a USB Lan card. I generally do not recommend WiFi because it’s less stable, less reliable, slower at the same price and you have to do more steps to be connected and it needs a bit more energy. LAN is easier and faster. Gigabit-LAN is no big thing in desktop-PCs since about 12 Years, but good luck providing Gigabit-WLAN.
Hello, newly registered,
I got myself an MSI z390 mobo, and was surprised at how difficult it was for me to install win7, which is why I ended up here.
I downloaded @Patrickk 's ISO to check, and they work quite well (I had to add a few drivers from driverpack.io, just searching for the basic Hardware ID: VEN_8086&DEV_1911, VEN_8086&DEV_A379, VEN_8086&DEV_A323, VEN_8086&DEV_A324, VEN_8086&DEV_A360, VEN10&DEV_1AD9, but I don’t even know if they are okay)
However, I’d like to have Windows in another language than Deutsch, and I only have a Home Premium Key, so no Ultimate for me.
I tried to install a language pack but it just leads me to a black screen and I have to reinstall Windows again.
So, I would like to know what would I need in order to compile myself a Windows installer, like Patrickk’s.
I noticed on his downloads pages that there are a “batch” folder and a “der Rest” folder, so my guess is that I could use that!
Is there a guide for that?
Thanks
Hy @Nina.
This is the thread for AMD chipset systems, not Z390 and similar.
You can use my mobile slipstreaming script to create your own ISO. It took mee hours and weeks to be where I am today with my scripts and as long as I like, I work on them to make better ISOs in differrent regards. In the folder called ‘batches’ you can find all the files that I use to create my ISOs, open source in that regard. Or you use ultimate without a key and install your language pack after the installation.
As a next step, I work on an ISO with an installation setup that is able to provide more than one language right from the beginning, instead of just in the finished installation. I noticed that there are people that use my ISOs neither in german or english, so I thought it would be a nice thing.
I do not have a guide for anything, you can download any file that I use to create the ISOs and figure out yourself. But, of course, you can send me PMs if you have some questions about my files and how to work with them. But my mobile slipstreaming scripts are really easy to use, even for N00bs.
Any news regarding compatibility of trx40 and tr3 chips?
Windows 7 won’t boot on TRX40 motherboards(commonly sold).
Windows 7 won’t boot on TRX40 motherboards(commonly sold).
Thanks for answer!
But i need real proof, because previously there was an opinion that TR1 is not working under Win7.
And now it works like a charm!
ps and what do you mean by words "commonly sold"?
@spacedrone808 It doesn’t surprise me that Winodws 7 runs on an Asrock Taichi X399m, there are drivers to download for Windows 7.
Windows 7 won’t boot on TRX40 motherboards(commonly sold).
@isopc1999a I really don’t like small-minded comments like this. It would be really difficult for you to test all motherboards, with all CPUs und every possible hard- and software configuration with software mods that you may not even be aware of, to confirm that Windows 7 won’t run on TRX40 in any cicrumstances.
If, on this planet, would be only one case where Windows 7 runs on a platform like this, your comment would be invalid.
Just because you can’t imagine a way to make it work, doesn’t mean that it will work never. (Maybe that includes the futur, but I am not shure about you formulation, english is not my native tongue).
@spacedrone808
So far as I know, Windows7 is stuck on ASUS Prime TRX40 Pro and Asrock TRX40 Taichi. (as of July 28, 2020)
There is a possibility that windows7 will boot on the special TRX40 motherboard in the laboratory of motherboard manufacturers.
So, this doesnt mean we cant do it at home?
Hellow everybody!
My motherboard is gigabyte X570 aorus elite.(BIOS version:F11,OS:Windows7 SP1)
My PC is stable so far.
I know that the newest BIOS version is F30.
Will I still get BSOD(ACPI issue) if I upgrade to F30(AMD AGESA ComboV2 1.0.8.1)?
My PC device list:
CPU:Ryzen 7 3700X
MB:X570 Aorus Elite(BIOS:F11)
RAM:Crucial Ballistix 8GB x2 DDR4-3600(XMP)
HDD:Toshiba SATAIII 2TB(7200 rpm)
VGA: AMD RX570 4GB
On a scale of 1-10 I’m a 6 on computer literacy…maybe a 7. Anyway I absolutely hate Windows 10,and am building a new computer…Ryzen 7 3700X, ASUS TUF 570, Sapphire Radeon Pulse RX 580. With the build is a cd/dvd drive, I have Windows 7/SP1 CD installation disk, PS2 mouse/keyboard…470 chipset drivers that I’ve read work for 570 chipset. In a Windows for dummies mindset, what else do I need to do to get Windows 7 to work for this build? I would like to make a new install work…but if worst comes to worst…I’ll work with my current install on a SSD. Any advice or suggestions…knowing at this point I will have NO updates for Windows 7???
@Willmart I think that it is worth a try with your hardware, it does’t look like that you forgot something crucial.
What you can do is to slipstream the X570 drivers into an ISO and try to install Windows 7 via USB.
I don’t think updates for Windows 7, avaiable to at least 2023, are important for security, but google ‘Wufuc’ if you want to get them. There are some useful updates for some functions like native NVMe support, for example.
Ohh well… stuck with win 10 for now then.
Is there an TR40 board out there more likely to have windows7 run?
Please try this one, we are very interested in results!

I recently tried to Asus b550i motherboard to install Windows 7, but my installation media did not gave working mouse, the same which gave mouse to Asrock X470. So i had to stay with Asrock X470. I hope it will get Vermeer support.
