@FlyToha
Google says that you should try to remove or unplug other disks in the system, so that only one drive is visible
And for the uefi problem, you could try uefiseven
https://github.com/manatails/uefiseven/releases
Edit: or did you already?
Which system specs do you have?
@FlyToha
for your missing storage devices there is a backported storahci driver on sourceforge you can try -
https://sourceforge.net/projects/storahci-for-windows-2003/
there is a precompiled driver in the /bin folder - integrate that into both boot.wim images using NTLite.
Iām not sure if the existing msahci driver will conflict though - it might need to be removed.
I recommend to remove every drive, except the one you want to install on. And delete every partition and do not try to install into an already present partition.
Good news guys! We did it!
@VelleX @PatrickK @canonkong @infuscomus thank you all for the help! Now i can confirm: Win7 on TR 3960x with MSI TRX40 wifi its possible Windows7 long live!
Now have one more issue with audio driver. I did integrate all realtek drivers into image, but it not fully installed. I have no working audio now. I tried to install audiodriver from MSI support page, but after reboot i get message ādevice driver software was not successfully installedā. And bluetooth driver have same problem.
Also now i can boot pc only with CSM. With UEFI my Win7 canāt boot.
@FlyToha
Audio driver not a problemļ¼I had already modified it and made it work well. I will post it here after work.
is it possible to use NVME Raid (say Raid0 for 2x NVME gen4) on windows 7?
@riku Are you aware about the disadvantages about a RAID0 ? I wouldnāt do this if you want to have a maximum of reliability, Roman Hartung even doesnāt recommend to use NVMe Gen. 4 because you pay more for just a tiny little bit more performance.
But if you ask just for fun, I would be interested too.
@PatrickK i am asking because i was testing PrimoCache and found the speed advantage interesting.
With Backup it should not be a problem. It seems NVME are not so expensive anymore, sometimes even less so then SATA. One could also use Gen3 NVME if on a budget.
Have seen some recommendations against it, but would like to test it myself.
@canonkong
Hi, I had recently asked a question on how to get my HP Envy x360 AMD Ryzen laptop to run Windows 7 in pure UEFI mode and how it was so frustrating that no method worked, until one user posted that it may work with your modded ACPI.SYS file. You can check out the question if youād like, as it explains most of the problems I had when trying to get Windows 7 to install in pure UEFI mode. I just need to know if the said ACPI.SYS file will finally get my goal accomplished.
ZEN3 IO die is the same as ZEN2 IO die.

The audio of trx40 motherboard is bridged by USB I2S, so I2S driver is required.
Yesļ¼zen3 can also install win7 and driver as the same with zen2.
Just bought myself an Thinkpad L15 AMD with Ryzen pro 4750U and I just realized I have CSM support in BIOS!
So now Iām downloading the Windows 7 Ryzen ESD from OP to see if I can get it Windows 7 running on this nice notebook, which btw is running a heavily debloated windows 10.
Thanks for all your work here! i
Please report your progress considering Win7 installing!
Well I got windows installed, and most of the drivers worked, sound, touchpad, but not the WiFi Ax200, which does not work at all under win 7. IĀ“m using a Asus wifi stick which works well. I then installed the APU driver but after restart I can only see the mouse pointer on a white greyish background. But I can boot into safe mode. Will have to tinker more.
