[TOOL] Easy automated Mod tool for Coffee Lake bios

Are you replying to me?

Sorry, I don’t know how one opens a request; I am new to the forum. Would you/someone kindly elaborate? Is there a github repo or a forum request thread?

To be clear, I have already modified the 1301 with this tool; I am confident it will take a 8T 9700k. Just not sure if it will take a 12T 8700k which is the same performance but going significantly cheaper on eBay.

Thank you.

This is the latest ‘original 1301’ BIOS for the Maximus IX Hero from the ASUS website:
dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1151/MAXIMUS_IX_HERO/MAXIMUS-IX-HERO-ASUS-1301.zip

Hi,everyone!
Can someone direct me to a different download link?
The link from the original Post seems to be dead…

I’ve been running a 9600k for a while now in my ASUS Z270i

Managed to pick up a 9900 (non-K) cheap. Does tool support a 9900 SRG18? I haven’t seen any mention of it. I tried it briefly without flashing a new BIOS but no joy.

If I can use it and just need to make a new BIOS great, just need to find the original tool and my raspberry pi so I can flash it again.

EDIT: Nevermind, seems an i7 is the limit for this board from the limited reading I’ve done.

Hey I have QQLT with Z170X-Designare and it works great but i bought new board. So now i want change mobo to maximus ix extreme. I already upload mod bios but unfortunately PC wont start. I update bios via ‘auto usb bios update’ or smth… I didnt make hardware mod (i dont know which two pads should i connect to each other) but the update work anyway with .cap file and formated pendrive to FAT32.
This is how it ‘works’ now on maximus ix extreme vid
And link to mod bios i made myself maybe something bad is there click
somebody help!

C-states enabled? Try limiting to c3

1.35v was fixed or adaptive? Verified in windows at your stable 3.7ghz? IA AC/DC loadline if not fixed?

Thanks for the suggestions, I tried all of them and while C-States definitely improved stability it still didn’t get me close to stock speeds. I think the issue might be related to memory power regulation, I threw in some old sticks that were slower and they ended up being even less stable.

In the end I got a cheap, used Z390 board and the processor is up to 5Ghz easy, so it was definitely a problem with the board.

Thank you very much for this tool.

hi,

Here is the modified BIOS file using CoffeeTime and UBU. I have not tested it, but I expect it to work.

Can you upload again? Your BIOS link are dead. Thanks.

Hi,
can someone reupload revlaay’s mod tool? Mega link in the first post is dead.
Thanks

I suggest that anyone looking for Revlaay’s tool instead use CoffeeTime by svarmod, which now has a GUI and suports many configurations.

Hi, really sorry to drop this here if it is dumb…

I have an i7 8700k, and an Asus Strix 270E. Will i be able to use this tool to make them work together?

I had similar results on my Z170 Tornado F5 after modding it.
It turned out that the BIOS did not set the voltages.
Setting voltage Offset or Override via Throttlestop does still work however.
I am running a 9700F at a max of 4.4 GHz (thermally constrained, higher frequencies don’t provide sufficient benefit in my scenarios) and 1.21V (override) with a Loadline of 30.
This is stable under all conditions and while 1.21V might not appear to be too good, it is for me as my 6700K would require 1.25V to be stable.
Hence I assume that this motherboard is not offering the most stable / optimized power supply to the CPU.

hello every one!
i really need coffee lake mod tool revlaay mode…i don’t know and like to use coffe time new version…

hi. you finde de bios mod tool? I need it to

thanks for the tools that I want.
It is more easily to change the modules.

No man i don’t got old version from revlaay…i really wont his bios editor i don’t like this new one and it is not same thing…

hello, can you teach me how to mod my maximus ix code? I couldn’t find the bios pins to unlock

I have an ASUS Maximus IX Formula (z270). Trying to modify the 1301 bios to work with the 9900k CPU.

Already performed the hardware mods to the bod.

Has anyone succeeded here? What settings/micro codes do you recommend to set in Coffee Time?

Any advice is appreciated.

i faced the same problem (
