In the case of IdeaPad 330, this cannot be done using the H2OUVE. UVE is mostly applicable for unlocking Clevo motherboards with Insyde BIOS.

You select the "Show" option of a special setting and save changes in the H2OUVE.
Please don’t ask me about this here again. This thread is for H2OEZE.

The Tool for Insyde Bios to make the default settings to another value.
I have here a bios and can take a look into it.
With the H2O EZE Tool 100.00.03.04 .
So i see all what is in real in Bios menu , I see with the EZE Version I have.
Opening the Bios is no Problem.

I can change in GUI the Settings, then I save the Bios . But I see after changed the Settings, there is no "SAVE" possible, I must do it with "Save as".
In the GUI of EZE was written Insyde H2O Setuo Editor (Default) and Cuurent User : Admin.

For looking the result, I reload the Bios again in the H2O EZE Tool ,the setting I was changed was lost
and it looks like before. So changes are no working

Then i have a settings which was greyed out and I do not can change it.
I miss a option and a field in the GUI to open the greyed field and change.

So 2 points which are not working.
Or I doing something wrong. or could it be the Bios is locked in any way ?

Hello.
If I change the logo, how are you going to install this BIOS? Installation using update program will be impossible because once modified BIOS requires to be signed by the manufacturer. Only Lenovo has the original certificate file and the password to it.

my BIOS model is Insyde; so you mean that i can’t ever change or remove this ugly boot logo?!.. really there’s no way??..:pensive:

There’s a way using a SPI programmer to reflash the BIOS.

I was able to use it to open the BIN file. Just set it to All files.

However, wont be able to save it as BIN. Need to extract the setup utility. Not sure how to do that:/

H2OEZE utility won’t unlock anything in your BIOS. Create a separate topic in the modding requests section and I’ll help you.

lenovo y500 windows system info says baseboard product INVALID
can i use this tool to fix? if what is the correct baseboard product spelling for that model? and where in the tool do i input the new data??

I have issues to open an .FD BIOS. Program crashes when I touch “other” menu.
Can’t read anything.
I tried with original untouched and backup BIOS.
Any help? Thanks

Hello! I’ve been interested in BIOS modding lately and I’ve wanted to mod my InsydeH20 BIOS for stuff like advanced options, custom logo and maybe also changing the product name and help text

I’ve been wondering how could I achieve this, I know some basics about BIOS modding but not that much about Insyde ones and I would really appreciate some help from the forum members

By the way I don’t have a BIOS programmer so I would like to avoid any possible failure
