@SoniX What is the correct GUID so I can update Realtek OROM using UEFITool on a Gigabyte Z170 Aptio V BIOS?
Is the new UEFITool 0.30.0 alpha16 safe to use for modding or is it better to use the original UEFITool 0.21.x for now?
@sinders , you can’t mod anything with 0.30 alphas, because the only operations supported are “Extract as is” and “Extract body” (image rebuild code is just not ready yet).
The goal is to test the new parser and to see the new functions like physical address calculation, more information about items and so on.
Because UEFIExtract and UEFIFind are both only parsers, they are already using the new engine (that is why their version numbers are 0.10.x now), but UEFITool and UEFIPatch will use the old one until I get enough time to finish my work on ffsbuilder.
EDIT: Not needed after analysing that BCLK overclocking lies in the ME Firmware.
You gents upgrading the RAID driver/ROM on the x77 series chipsets (I have a z77) how has the v14.8 series RAID been working for you assuming you run RAID? I have been hesitant to upgrade past the 13.5 RAID and associated 13.6.3.1001 driver due to warnings it may not be the best for the older z77 chippset.
I can personally say the combo I run works fantastic.
You can find >here< the results I got with my Z68 and Z97 RAID0 systems.
Have you compared the results you got with other Intel RST(e) driver versions of the v13 series?
By the way: This discussion is off topic and should better continued within >this< thread.

For SKL, the platform UBU uses (36). It’s older but not included.

Thanks for the link, which verifies, that it is much easier to steal a software and offer it as an own product than to develop it oneself.
For sure he can do that.
I do like using this tool but I would like to ask one question,
how to change the BIOS number inside the file?
I can change the name of the file but, in the actual BIOS it is the
same as the pre modded one. So, what do I use to effect this change PLEASE.
Do you mean the BIOS version number? If yes, why do you want to change it?
Yes, the one that appears in the BIOS. Just so I can keep check of the changes is all.
